Formation (following on from: Fans Support of Andy Thorn: A sign of just how far...)

This is very true. When we don't have the ball we don't close down the opposition and when in possession we are very slow and predictable.

The Spurs one especially. Still have the picture of Regis heading that one in to win the game!

    Platt and communication problems

Communication letting Coventry City down, says Clive Platt by Andy TurnerNov 8 2011 CLIVE Platt believes communication is letting Coventry City down. And the most experienced and one of the more vocal members of the Sky Blues squad is urging his team-mates to talk more on the pitch to...

Good point about the youth players in the squad now. Rioch must know them better than anyone. Rioch of the Ricoh. There's some fun to be had with that.

Eastwood should now pull his finger out

On his day he's better than anything else we have at the club. Just his day rarely comes.

Eastwood... time to give him a second chance ?

Would think he would only get another chance if Thorn stepped down.

The only person it would be would be Lee Carsley. I'm just wondering if Carsley can make the step up and work alongside Thorn to see if he can help him at all.

Two of my fave ever City performances. 5-4 against Norwich and 3-2 against West Ham. Happy days. The way things are these days I am not so sure we will ever score 5 again. Maybe even 3.:(

Fans Support of Andy Thorn: A sign of just how far we have fallen?

These two things. The opposition have now sussed us out. We are incredibly predictable. We are also playing without passion and at a slow tempo and this makes it very easy for teams to counter against. They also know that under this deployed system we score at a rate of less than a goal a game...

Said it before, Hackers. If you weren't a Leshtur fan I think we would be best mates. :D

It was 2 legs. Which is one leg more than most of the players we have here this season.

Blatant mistakes. 1. Not getting the front two to play closer together. 2. Not getting the midfield to push up and support the attack. 3. Not leave a massive gap between the front two and the midfield. There's about 20 yards at the moment. 4. Then there is the subs. Against Burnley he failed...

What bizarre logic is that? Wasn't Dowie the right man for us when we got him? Wasn't Coleman? They must be the right men now too.

Fans Support of Andy Thorn: A sign of just how far we have fallen?

No-one said Thorn was a rubbish manager last season because he was new at the game and hadn't managed before and fans were happy to give him time. He also had that honeymoon period and with that came an upturn in our fortunes. Why on earth would anyone want him out when he had only just started...

You get a pretty good view anywhere in the Ricoh to be honest. Do you want the 3 points now or would you rather take the journey up and make a day of it all?

Fans Support of Andy Thorn: A sign of just how far we have fallen?

Well obviously no sane fan would blame the manager for any of the 4 goals. That's not what people are saying. They are not talking about individual players making mistakes, which Thorn obviously has no control over, they are talking about systems and formations and tactics. Two completely...

Fans Support of Andy Thorn: A sign of just how far we have fallen?

Sorry but that post doesn't make any sense. You want people to admit to wanting him out last season when we were doing well and everyone was happy and obviously as a result no-one wanted him out?

Fans Support of Andy Thorn: A sign of just how far we have fallen?

No Plan B because he may move players around but we still continue to play too deep and still continue to play with a big gap between the front two and the midfield and still continue to pas the ball predominately in our own half.

    Schools

Been doing this all season at the Ricoh. Different schools each time. Guess it's a good way to disenfranchise new blood from ever coming up again.

    Who would you apply?

Well for one thing, Wise wouldn't stand for the players coming back into the dressing room with them hardly breaking sweat.
