When was it booked for ? If it was after the last league game as usual it was sensible to cancel with a playoff game coming up. It’s only because you have some insider info that you are bothered - it’s not like they had tickets on sale and then cancelled.

I imagine as you slip down the leagues it’s just another day job to pay the bills - not many do a Godden and flourish later on. Would think his family are more comfortably off than most players at that level.
