The mentality of this team is fucking abysmal. Utterly fell apart after the equaliser, Sheaf shrugging his shoulders when Eccles was relaying instructions after coming on
We had control of the game, then our terrible goalkeeper once again, for the umpteenth time in a row, shit himself over a shot that should be bread and butter for any goalkeeper above under-eights level and now they have the momentum
Superb first ten for me - Bassette tearing the defence to ribbons, Sheaf looking oh they scored as I was typing that, fucking Brad Collins letting in every shot on target yet again
The lowlight of Madley's performance yesterday was his decision to let Hull have the ball back after they took a free kick quickly and passed it straight to Torp. Utterly inexplicable, why not just let them have the ball back every time a dead ball doesn't go where they wanted it to?
Ultimately...
Really trying to find some positives from tonight; we played good football in bursts and occasionally looked threatening going forward, but ultimately this is a team failing at the basics and fundementals of football. No confidence in key moments, truly amateurish defending and no flair...
Actually quite looking forward this one; it's become a tradition in my family for my wife and parents to accompany me to the Boxing Day home games, and since it's been a good year for us we've splashed out on the Balcony Bar
Same here; he was a key figure of the 1997-2000 CCFC team that was around when I first started supporting the club, and it's always a thrill when a former player returns as a coach. Shame it hasn't worked out
I am happy that this saga is over and we can move on to the next phase; Lampard and his team have my full support and I hope they're a huge success.
Will be interesting to see what happens to Robins' old team.
