How many points can we get?

If we are going to keep losing we might as well, just to keep the goal difference down.:D

18 points? That'll be play-offs then won't it? :thinking about:

How many points can we get?

My worry there though is that instead of the odd goal defeats we were getting earlier in the season away from home, the last 3 away games have been defeats by 2 clear goals. If that continues we could well see our goal difference getting worse. Last two home wins have only been by the odd goal...

Home form is good. Think it can continue to be good. But we don't just need it to be good so as to have an unbeaten home run, we need a succession of wins in this run for it to be a winning run for us to survive. We draw against Brum and then the next home game we are going to probably see...

Good examples. Both players like to give the ball and then move into space to get the return ball.

The bookies make millions from us year on year on year .... Why? Because they look at the constants, the stats and the most probable scenarios. That sort of throws your comment back in your face a bit. The bookies aren't very often wrong are they. Otherwise they would be out of business...

Our players are scared of space...

I and a few others talked of this before Christmas. We pretty much always pass the ball to feet, especially in the midfield area. This makes us predictable and much easier to close down. Said it was a big problem then and was hoping Thorn would address it. Haven't said anything since mind as...

Why is statistical 'always worthless?' Gone back over 30 years now and only once has a team stayed up on 40 points. a couple of times 43 has been required, but it is usally 46-50 pts required. Don't see how that is worthless. That is very relevant as to how many points are likely to be...

We need a deflected shot off the refs left buttock. That happens and then I will readily sign up to the great Sky Blue survival mission.

They can indeed. Whatever happens we know that after only winning 7 games in 35, we have now got to go out and win 4 or 5 out of just 11. If we had just got a few points on the road I would have said it was doable.

We also have more away games left now than home games. You have to factor that in too.

Oh dear. Doesn't that Donny stat suggest they may well finish above us as they have 2 games in hand?

It's not predicting the future. It is looking at the constants. The constant factors are that we have not won away all season long. We have lost 10 in a row away and not scored at all in our last 3 away games and have only scored 7 away goals all season. Being a realist is coming to the...

As you are good at conjuring up stats for me, can you work out how much happier I would be if I hadn't have met my wife? It was 2002. We met on a train travelling at 80 mph and I wore a smoking jacket and it was a Tuesday. It took 3 hours to get there but we didn't start the journey until 7...

Yes, of course they are, but you are misisng the point of people's comments. We play well and win and it's usually all plaudits. We don't play too well, but deserve to win, then yes we have the points on the board, but the question then is of course, if we play like that every week will we...

What the hell was going on with that penalty?

Not so vehemently. Not with that much passion and gusto when it was that clear cut. It was such a clear cut pen there was nothing to argue about. Wasn't even close to being debatable. Never seen City players protest so much over a decision that was so right.

Doesn't happen after every win. It is usually invariably been that although we have deserved to win we haven't particularly played well. Would you want people to not mention the fact that Middlesborough had a player sent off then? Just pretend it never happened perhaps. :thinking about:

What the hell was going on with that penalty?

He looked unfit. Think it was all to do with their wingers. Think AT thought Clarke could do a better job on Saha than Christie and that Chrisite couldn't play at left back and therefore Cranie had to move over to the left back slot, which then meant there was a vacant berth in the centre.
