    Thorn with money!

Still don't see how he can be doing a great job with us being pretty much rock bottom and 7 points adrift since Christmas. If he keeps us up then he can maybe be labelled with having done a great job. Just how many points adrift at the bottom would we need to be for him to have been doing a...

If City survive this season, would you keep AT as manager?

Not so sure. None of us expected us to be 7 points adrift at the bottom by Christmas. We have pretty much been bottom since. I'm with Mustard. If we have a sudden upsurge in our fortunes and survive then maybe he should be given more time. Thorn however shouldn't benefit on a achievement...

    Fixtures to come

But odds are that we are not going to win all of those. There are 6 home games there. Say if we win 4 of those then that will be a really good return. An excellent return. 4 home wins out of those 6 will give us a return of 12 points only put us on 37 points in total. Nowhere near enough to...

    Fixtures to come

Don't want to piss on anyone's chips here, but there has been a lot of talk about the games we have left against the bottom teams. Well, I think we need to remember that not only will these be hard, but that we have a fair few tough away fixtures to come too. Away games that look really...

Lack of goals from open play

Eastwood is only there cos there's no-one else. We need more strikers in.

Lack of goals from open play

Only Freddie on the bench last night.

    Just Deserts ....."At Last"

Yes, well done, and I don't wish to be cruel here, but the fact is that Thorn had to play that team and had to ditch the diamond. Not so sure we can praise his tactics as his hand was forced. We should praise him though for motivating the players and keeping their spirits up.

Bearing in mind the threadbare nature of the team...

AT was going to bring subs on. Luckily for us though, Redfearn made subs and totally cocked it up when he took a striker off and brought a defender on. That then gave the initiative to us. Thorn didn't have to change anything after that.

Saturday - Something's got to give

As OSB said, this is all on the back of one victory. We shouldn't get carried away here. Remember the two back to back wins at Christmas? After that we then went on a terrible run. Saturday is massive, but a draw would stop the rot of away defeats and that is crucial.

So, what EXACTLY is required for City to stay up?

Let's hope he stays fit and healthy then.

    Well said John Hartson

Yep. Hatson said Richardon promised him he would keep the players together and not sell anyone and on that proviso Hartson said he would definitely stay and help us get back up. Richardson then didn't keep to his word and sold Bellamy and Hadji and at that point Hartson said that's it then i'm off.

    RATINGS FOLKS V Leeds

We had some pace last night for a change, in Nimely, Christie and Clarke. With Norwood and Deegan being nippy around the ball too it gives us more options.

    Baker

i thought we had a gem too. Bottom line is we have a bits and pieces player who gets knocked off the ball too easliy, can't tackle and flits in and out of games. Some of his passing is shocking too.

Saturday - Something's got to give

2-0 written all over it? A home team that doesn't score versus an away team that doesn't score? :thinking about: 0-0 written all over it I would say. And I would take that for sure. Think that would be a great result and would stop the rot of 8 successive away defeats.

So, what EXACTLY is required for City to stay up?

We desperately need those loans. The side last night was the only side Thorn could put out. 3 kids on the bench and fat Freddie. Anyone else gets injured and we are in the shit.

    GT is the new ian

Yep, disagreed with a lot of what he said last night. How anyone could say Platt was the weak link I don't know. The bloke was outstanding.

Sounds like it's got 0-0 written all over it.

    The Ref vs Leeds

Lots of pushes on players where he didn't give free kicks. Some great tackles too from Deegan (where he cleanly got the ball with a great tackle) and others where he gave free kicks against us. Platt was having his shirt pulled all night too. Lots os little errors from the ref. He got the big...

So, what EXACTLY is required for City to stay up?

The Pompey thing has made a difference, but let's not get away from the fact that last night was just one game. I still maintain that unless we pick up points away we are truly doomed. Yep as it stands we are down to 6 points from saftey, but that could be 9 on Saturday. Not counting the...

Maybe we need to be down to the bar bones more often. Then we can continue to not play the diamond.
