    Transfer targets

Couple of questions then. How much game time is he getting while they’re in a fight for the PL now KDB, Doku, and Grealish are fit? Next to none. Is going to a bottom side who have very little of the ball a good thing? Does he start regularly for anyone bar Sheff Utd, and Luton? I’m not...

    Transfer targets

Is Oscar Bobb that unrealistic? Be a great signing on paper, but I’m not sure there’s a PL club that he’s getting regular game time for. Aside from maybe one of the bottom 3 or 4, which would probably be bad for his development anyway.

    Is Greggs MIA?

Hopefully the bloke who’s been booted thinks twice about what he says in future. Can’t go through life saying/doing what you want and not expect some consequences.

    “Lazy”

No one is accusing you of being racist. However, black players are more likely to be called lazy. As above, I don’t believe anyone says this with malicious intent. However interesting thread, and definitely worth thinking about/discussing.

    “Lazy”

It’s 100% racial stereotypes calling certain players lazy. I don’t think people saying it have bad intentions or are even aware of it. I’m sure I’ve been guilty of it. Can’t just dismiss it though, when the evidence is there.

    Transfer targets

Collins has the most expected goals prevented in the division, and that’s more than double all bar three other keepers. His passing stats are right up there as well.

Showing support for Palmer on Friday

Dunno why some are taking a holier than thou attitude. As others have said, it reflects society and we all bear responsibility, and not just fans of a particular football team. There are some pretty deprived areas of South Yorkshire (as there are in many places), with plenty of scarcely educated...

    Ex Player Watch

I’d worry that he’s physically not quite at it. Looks to have adapted his game though, and clearly is above the level he’s playing.

His technique is elite level. IMO he’d have had a PL career if he’d stayed injury free.

    Josh Eccles

Think he finally believes he deserves to be in the team. Looked like a player lacking a bit of confidence in the past, which is understandable.

    Padded Seat

I’ve done a fair few hospitality. Could get them free with an old job. Don’t think they’re worth the money really, food is always pretty average and drinks are rarely included. Pretty sure alcohol isn’t with ours either, just tea and coffee. Perhaps that’s changed but was defo the case last...

    Value in our squad

Thomas has massive potential as others have said. He’s careless on the ball and makes mistakes. Once he cuts those out he’ll be a top CB.

    Ex Player Watch

Watched the highlights of Notts County. Christ Jones looks good, his delivery is PL. Such a talent. Had to start again and reinvent himself as a player, but looks to be the stand out player in league 2 right now. As others have said, I think he could be back in the championship before too long.

What does this club mean to you?

My old man is a Wolves fan, but he worked Saturdays and being local I went to Cov and fell in love. I live up north now, but I’m proud to be a Cov fan, and right now is as good as it gets.

    Player ratings

Agree with the plaudits for Sheaf, O’Hare and MVE. Thought Eccles did well alongside Sheaf as well. Right tactical sub to bring him off, but he did well. Sakamoto brilliant again. Dasilva did well when he came on too, got us up the pitch more.

Match Thread Coventry City - Leicester City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Jan

I think they’re meant to have got better as the season has gone on. A few results look close but I think they’ve been pretty dominant. Game plan is massive, going to have to sit in and counter. O’Hare could be crucial winning the ball high up and helping us link play, Haji’s legs out wide and...

    Modern day legends

Since our fall to League Two there have been plenty of huge contributions; - Doyle - Kelly - Willis - McFadzean - Godden - O’Hare - Hamer - Gyokeres All of these players have been hugely significant in taking the side to another level. Hamer and Gyokeres might not have got us to the Prem, but...
