Article: Marlon King Wants To Stay at Coventry City

Id be very surprised to see him still. This year he would have considered that he has 'proved' he still has the quality, so surely with a contract extension would come with a wage increase, especially since there is apparent premier league interest. Do you think Ranson will cough up?

Ranson to offer King new contract

This whiffs of a bit of a PR stunt to me. Take the shine off the management for a minute, and try restore some faith in our board that they have our clubs best interests at heart.

Di Matteo keen on City job

I think this has to be good news. It at least shows the Coventry poison chalice isnt putting managers off. Get him interviewed, and see what his thoughts are. Promising.

Andy Thorn 'ripped up Aidy Boothroyd's tactics' for Burnley game

Its a positive and promising start, but the real test is the 6 pointer with Preston on Saturday. If we dont win that, we are in big trouble.

Application for the vacant manager's job

Good effort. If only real life replicated my Football Manager stories id be a much happier supporter!

As Fans we should raise money between us and purchase our own club!

Yeah its just not going to happen. We need big, serious investment. Im not sure who would be willing to. Most would wait for a Leicster, who can be bought cheap after relegation then invested in. Im not sure when we will start to look like an attractive prospect.

    So its all Boothroyds fault????????

There are many clubs who have been in same situation, with players being sold over their heads and a bad run of injuries. They dont seem to go on a run as bad as we do/have, so it cant be put all down to that.

I like Marlon King as a player for us, but it's all his fault.

I think its wrong to criticise his first sending off particularly. But even with the number of games he has sat out, he is still our top scorer? Says a lot to be honest. It is going to be a shame that he will leave this summer, unless theres a radical overhaul of the entire squad anyway by a new...

    2-2 at Burnley

I havent seen the highlights from the game, but from peoples reports it does sound quite refreshing. 3 upfront away to a playoff team! Dangerous, but often attack is the best form of defense. Keeping Burnley to only 8 shots at home is a good result in itself. Still, it counts for nothing if we...

Something keeps putting me off from wanting Curbishley. I dont know why. Fairly successful, experienced. But just doesnt feel like the answer to me. Weve had it before. Peter Reid, Dowie, Coleman.

    Kevin Blackwell

I can only hope it isnt true, because if they want to bring a manager like Kevin Blackwell in, they may aswell have stuck with Boothroyd. Complete like for like. They HAVE to bring in something fresh and different, and that sadly for us would be attacking football for the first time in about 8...

Young, big name, attacking football, recently worked in Midlands. Why not!

    Bobby Gould anyone?

Not for me. I appreciate his sentiment, but... im almost slightly embarrased that we already seem like a charity case :s It all reaks of a shambles of a club, and I really am fearing for the future of our belove more than ever :(

I like Marlon King as a player for us, but it's all his fault.

Yeah i have to say i disagree aswell. It seems to be a more coincidence than anything else. If he wasnt holding up the play, controlling our aimless long balls, and finishing off the few attacks we have had, i doubt we would even have that one win in 16. As stated, the players seem to get on...

Boothroyd... It was time to go!

Theres no such thing as free. Signing on fees, agent bonus, wages etc etc. Thankfully at least we wont have to be paying anybodys goal scoring bonus. For all these games O'Donovan is either sat on the bench all game or not even in the squad, thats a few thousand pounds the club are just...

    New Manager Shortlist

I am a little concerned with an 'internal' appointment, although that is the most likely to save a few pennies. They may surprise us, but i think we need to become an attractive prospect for players, who play good attacking football and look to have a bit of direction and leadership. It would...

    New Manager Shortlist

Out of the names i listed, i would go for Di Matteo as hes done well at the clubs hes been and plays attractive football. Id like Gus Poyet too but i think he would want to stick with the great job hes doing at Brighton. Another outside bet for me could be Paul Tisdale from Exeter. Great young...

    New Manager Shortlist

So, who do the board have lined up. Since they must have to sack a manager at the most ridiculous time of a season. Any ideas? Dont have to be too realistic! Martin O'Neil Gordon Strachan Roberto Di Matteo Gary Megson Sam Allardyce Chris Hughton Alan Curbishley Roy Keane Paulo Sousa Gianfranco...

Wouldnt a better question be how long do we want to put up with SISU?
