With a striker who could bag 20+ goals in a season from open play? Definitely. How many games did we lose by a goal, or only manage a draw. 1 more goal in each of the 20 games would have been the difference between relegation and mid table obscurity.

Im keeping my fingers crossed we can keep him. I think hes look a pretty good Championship striker, and think he would be a top League One striker, certainly given the match time and fitness back. So hopefully no Championship teams fancy a punt on him in the summer.

It depends really. Every summer we leave it until the last minute anyway, and wonder why we always struggle to have a team thats fit and gels. Absolutely give him another year, ideally on a much cheaper deal. He can tough it out for a year in League One. Plus, its not like we are going to be able to replace him with anyone other than youth team is it!
