A little bit of straw clutching here but ....

You have no idea how much I hope you are right!! To my mind, on their day, Burnley are one of the best teams in this division. Guess it is all about which Burnley tunrs up ....... and which City too.

Labourer for Today/Tommorow and Maybe Monday

I would have Nick, but I am firmly in babysitting mode this weekend. I am definitely cheap.

But I am talking in terms of it not going to the final game against Southampton. Fact is, if (and for Paxman I will underline that, put it in bold, caps and italics) IF Bristol lost their next two games and we won ours we would be two points clear. a win or draw then against Donny might then...

As Clive Eakin said tonight on CWR

Don't see it as being disrespectful to Bristol, Paxman. Posters on here do keep saying 'if.' We know it is an 'if.' Bristol have two tough games coming up. On paper, tougher than us. All people are saying is 'if' Bristol lose both games, no-one is saying they are going to lose both games.

I think Bristol's best chance is tomorrow. Brum have all but cemented their play-off berth, being 7 points clear of 7th place, but also being 12 points behind 2nd place and an automatic place out of their reach. They may not be quite so fired up tomorrow with one eye beginning to be cast on...

We are very predicatble at times it has to be said. When Platt has the better over a defender and wins loads of knock downs we play well. When this doesn't work though we keep playing the same way even though it's not coming off. When Platt plays well we seem to play well. Not down to Platt...

A little bit of straw clutching here but ....

Yep, I know. As I said ..... straw clutching. Got a feeling other teams will help us out but we won't do our bit ourselves. Can see Bristol losing both their next two games but us not taking advantage of the situation.

A little bit of straw clutching here but ....

A winner tonight in the Southampton v Reading game may just have helped our cause slightly. Reading, the in-form team of recent weeks won 3-1 to send them to the top of the table. What this does is leave the door slightly open for West Ham to try and grab an automatic promotion place. West...

A win tomorrow does make all the difference though, Astute. It could be draw tomorrow, win Tuesday, or win tomorrow, draw Tuesday. Both give uis the 4 points. I know which way I would want it mind. I would take the win tomorrow every day of the week. We draw tomorrow, Bristol lose, we would...

We're not for sure. Don't you just get the feeling though that CCFC will give us hope until the very last moment only for it then to go all tits up at the final hurdle. Last time we fooked it up like this was at Charlton. Luckily the width of a post sent Leshtur down instead.

But if we are going down anyway wouldn't you want it now rather than on the very last day? Just seems like it is prolonging the pain. Watched Southampton going forwards tonight and they looked so dangerous and were pinning a very good Reading side back for long periods. Our defence would...

Thing that worries me here is that we could get renewed belief only for it to go wrong on the final day. For instance; We draw tomorrow, Bristol lose - Gap down to 3 points. We beat Millwall, Bristol lose to West Ham - equal points, us above on GD. (can obviously swap the two results with...

By Tuesday night we could be out of the bottom 3 with everything looking rosey with Donny at home to come, or we could actually be officially relegated.:o Puts it into perspective doesn't it.

    Bad news / Good news

Well unfortunately that was just an attempt at humour to go with the 'pointless' comments. I have a bad feeling. I did have a really good feeling before the Peterborough game though and look how that one turned out!! But then ... i had a bad feeling about the Bristol game and look how...

    Bad news / Good news

No, wish I was going for the the win. Have this bad feeling we are going to get beaten quite easily, 2-0 or 3-0. Giod do I hope I am wrong though. Draw would be great, a win, fantastic!!

The only thing that is pointless will be Burnley tomorrow.

Thorn sacked if we lose tomorrow

A lower league manager for a lower league team though surely.

    The real last chance saloon...

Now I also see myself as some sort of decent, gallant type of chap, with good morals and a sense of justice. As this is an internet forum of course though, I have no idea if any of this is true until I actually meet myself in person.

City players considered not good enough for the Championship

Baker should do okay in League 1, as should Sheff and Cody. Sheff should shine to be honest, but I guess it is all down to how hungry he is and how dirty he wants his shirt to be. The kids should be okay (if we can retain them) and Wood and Hussey should do well too.
