Wasps deal will be externally scrutinised

Isn't this one of the ancient quotes from back in early 2012? I seem to remember it was Fischer trying to paint the picture of a poorly managed ACL. I am not sure if this is the case after Compass/ACL joint venture was formed.

Wasps deal will be externally scrutinised

Read post #109 in this thread. According to OSB ACL will increase turnover by some £800t and profit some £400t this season. More in a full season - even more if we get some nice cup games. The club's contribution is not insignificant.

TBF - ha has. A lot in fact. But due to his profession we rely on his views. They are rarely the same as mine, but I value and respect his expertise and so should we all.

... or a bigger issue (as it would be of greater value).

Alan Higgs Charity Slams SISU over legal costs

And yet somehow they always find their way back and keep arguing.

The Sky Blues trust needs to spearhead a takeover

You cannot exclude liabilities from the balance sheet and base a price solely on assets. The price of shares will always be considered from the point of projected profit/loss and the ability to gain an interest on the investment (the purchase) going forward. That interest will take into...

Wasps deal will be externally scrutinised

It's not about legality - it's about the political process. I am certain the auditors would find any illegal actions involving contracts and lease agreements - but there won't be any. The political process is not something auditors will get into. It's not their job. An enquiry or investigation...

The Sky Blues trust needs to spearhead a takeover

Sisu will not simply liquidate. If they decide to walk, they will put the club up for sale - but not in public. They will identify potential buyers and pitch them privately. The Golden Share is worth nothing without players. Players and Golden Share need an organisation - the club. So it would...

The Sky Blues trust needs to spearhead a takeover

I wonder what kind of new owners would be acceptable? Somehow I have the feeling that only a sugar daddy will be acceptable and I fear there are not too many around.

The Sky Blues trust needs to spearhead a takeover

Would Wasps allow external shareholders if the Ricoh is profitable? If I owned a profitable business I would not share it. Of course if it was failing I would be happy to share. If investments was needed to get the business back to profit and I couldn't (wouldn't) provide the money myself...

    What would be the point?

Wasps deal will be externally scrutinised

From another thread: So in a 'normal season' some £1m in turnover and half in profit. I would say that is a 'conservative' guesstimate. And as Wasps and ACL seem to be struggling ANY penny we contribute counts.

    observer article

While I am fully in favour of an independent investigation I see nothing new in the article. It feels to me like a counter to the Trusts Sisu-Get-Out statement. One part says 'look here!' then the other part says 'no, look here!'. My head moves like I'm watching a f*cking tennis match. And I...

Trust calls on Coventry City FC owners Sisu to sell-up and leave

Oh I see, so a bit more in a 'normal season'. Maybe a lot more with a good FA-cup third round draw? But, it's just playing with numbers, and as I said, I am not very good at that :). Was it ever to do with football? Investors tend to make everything to do with making money. 'Normal' investors...

Trust calls on Coventry City FC owners Sisu to sell-up and leave

I am hopeless with numbers ... why x21? We don't know if sisu are playing the waiting game, but it's one option they have. And it's probably their cheapest option. Personally I hope they really are going to build a new stadium as I believe that is needed for the future. And btw - The Ricoh has...

Trust calls on Coventry City FC owners Sisu to sell-up and leave

This seem to be the premise, but it's just an opinion. Nobody knows for a fact they have given up. And as OSB have said on multiple occasions: They seem to have cut cost to a degree where new cash injections are either not necessary or kept at a minimum. As long as this is true why would they...
