How can applications be still coming in when the deadline for applications was last week?

Yes, I know that. They are now 2nd in the table though. Still early days this season of course, so hard to say whether they will sustain that or not.

Why is he the best qualified? Because he got Hull into the Premier? We are in league One. Preston were in League One. Brown failed in League One. He has that one bit of success. Tisdale on the other hand has no less than 5 promotions under his belt. How does that make Brown more qualified?

Agree. They won't please everyone and every candidate will have their dissenters, but if it is a candidate that the vast majority are totally opposed to then they really need to listen.

Why bother? Only because if they brought the wrong man in the gates would drop further and they would lose even more money. They have budgeted for 11,000 per home game this season. If they get the right man in the crowds could quite easily be a couple of thousand higher than that.

Funny how we heard about Brown being interviewed though and no-one else. CT got hold of that from somewhere. Wonder if it was from inside the club. Do think there would be a bit of an outcry if the likes of Brown got the job so it would be well worthwhile the club finding out how anti the fans...

Can only compare him to the likes of Rodney Marsh and Stan Bowles. Bags of skill and trickery and a real character.

But does anyone else think that the City might be leaking a few names out here and there to gauge reaction of the fans? Wilder last week and Brown this. Someone from the club no doubt reads the forums so wondering if they are testing the water a little with the Sky Blues fans. Not saying they...

First one was probably Ernie Hunt. Don't remember too much at all about Ian Gibson. Can only remember going to one game where the fans were chanting for him to be brought on. Ernie Hunt could be a genius on the ball at times and was a big favourite of the city faithful, so I reckon it is him...

Summed up perfectly. Not so sure bollocking them is going to any good. Brown apparently sent his youth players up a fell at 6 a.m. one morning after a defeat and made them find their own way back down again. And apparently it completely backfired on him.

Tisdale would be great in my opinion.
