Burge (at least give him a try, or bring in another keeper)
Clarke, Willis, Johnson, Pugh
O'Brien, Fleck, (bring a strong, combatitive midfielder in) Haynes
Nouble, Jackson.
Alsop
Phillips Willis Reda Haynes
O'Brien Fleck Barton Swanson
Nouble Jackson
On paper I have to say, that looks a truly shocking line-up.
We would get hammered playing that team. Midfield already looks like it's lacking strength and yet Liam would like to play Barton and Swanson?
I just noticed the stats, BBC is saying we had 51% possession. Is that right?
From what I recall the first 25 mins or so we hardly even touched the ball and in the 2nd half, as soon as they scored, they completely dominated and their fans were doing the Olé's and we were nowhere...
At the moment I think you'd have to say, if you shut down Haynes you shut down our entire attacking threat. Pretty much all our good stuff has come down the left hand side.
Yesterday, you are right about Clarke. There were several times when he was completely free on the right and we didn't go...
As someone said, when we go ahead the system works okay on the whole, but when we are behind and chasing games this system doesn't create enough goalscoring opportunities for us and we look rather powder puff then.
Yep, totally agree. 3-5-2 makes us a lot more solid, but we hardly offer any attacking threat and if we switch back to 4-4-2 i can see last year's defensive frailties coming back to haunt us once again.
Then you have to add to that, that up front I just don't think we have the same goal power...
Well I think that's it in a nutshell. We all believe it was one of the worst ever performances in living memory and therefore I can't see how anyone deserved anything past a 6.
Thought at the time of his sending off during the Scunthorpe match that it could cost us past that game if we lost.
Not trying to say he cost us all 3 games, but that madness of the that one game obviously cost us then, but there was a knock on effect following that game and he has been a big...
I remember a mate of mine telling me in complete confidence that one time he woke up one morning after quite a raucous party to find himself in bed with someone licking his balls.
He said at first he was merely just enjoying it, but as he properly awoke, he couldn't remember much at all about...
It is a negative formation. Well, it is the way we deploy it.
I am increasingly doubtful that we have the personnel to make this system work for us. I sincerely hope Pressley is having doubts too and doesn't just show stubborness in continuing with it come hell or high water.
It needs a...
Yep, about right those marks I would say and certainly no-one deserved anything more than a 6.
I'm sure Preston fans will be purring and now have eyes on the play-offs at least after yesterday, but I really think that will be the easiest game they will have all season long, as we were so...
For some strange reason SP seems to see something in Marcus Tudgay that the rest of us can't see.
Allsop is another worry.
We should have changed the system after about 25 mins, cos it clearly wasn't working. No idea why SP seemed to just cross his fingers and hope we'd make it through to half...
