    Transfer Rumour Chris Martin

I disagree. Martin is a target man, whereas our style of play requires our man up front to run the channels, which Godden had started to do really well by the time last season was curtailed. I don't see Martin doing that, who I think would be much more effective in a team playing 2 up front, and...

    Zain westbrooke

Westbrooke played his part for us last season and is a neat tidy player with the odd goal in him. I suspect however he will not be dynamic enough to feature regularly in the Championship barring injuries, and will be down the midfield pecking order behind Kelly, Hamer, Shipley, O'Hare and Allen...

    Sheffield Wednesday points deduction

It's not exactly the Corinthian spirit to spend more money than your rivals, and to buy better players, when you haven't got the money to do so. It is grossly unfair instead to penalise clubs who have been financially responsible. Both Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday have cheated and deserve to be...

    Sheffield Wednesday points deduction

If teams seek to cheat the rules in order to gain a competitive advantage they deserve to be punished. By cheating they are ensuring there isn't a level playing field to start with, and not taking this action would encourage others to follow suit, demeaning the competition even further.

Transfer Rumour Rumour - Valentin Costache

With the examples you've given, you would be mad to do so. Bobby Gould wasn't manager was he?

    Transfer Rumour Owen Otasowie

Was that to do with the Tevez/ Mascherano transfers to West Ham?

Moving Forward - New Stadium Questions

Haven't the women's team aligned themselves with Coventry United, and isn't Grendel's pal - Kalns, one of their main protagonists? Can't see any link up if that is the case.

    Gustavo Hamer - CONFIRMED

He was very impressive and seemed to fit in well. Will have to be careful with unnecessary fouls though, particularly around our own box. We did well last season in terms of discipline, and if as it seems he turns out to be a vital player for us, we could do without too many sending offs and...

Ricoh to host World Cup game

Is it that big an event? Yes Australia are a top team, but the standard of Scotland in Rugby League will be the equivalent of Luxembourg in Football.

    Time to get organised?

Targeting Duggins seat would be a good starting point.

    Time to get organised?

Looks like I was wrong about Charlton fans actually getting elected, but this makes interesting reading nevertheless. https://www.castrust.org/2013/07/if-you-know-your-istory-the-valley-party/

    Time to get organised?

..... but Charlton have already shown this kind of action can work, Writing to an MP or Sports Minister is completely futile though!

    Time to get organised?

Thanks Shmee I respect your views, but just to respond to some of the points you have made: 'Wasn’t this tried?' When and by who? I remember some independent candidate trying to hitch hike on the club's grievances very late in the day, but that is the opposite to what I'm suggesting. If I...

    Time to get organised?

First of all I must apologise, as I am currently working abroad and do not expect to return to the UK until 2023, so I acknowledge that the following is a case of asking people to engage in something I can't do myself until that time, and if people want to criticise me for that fair enough...

    Championship salary cap next season?

I completely disagree with enforced wage caps. It would be ridiculous for say if Villa were to get relegated and pulling in 30,000 crowds, but were then expected to have the same wage limitations as Wycombe, pulling in 6,000 or so, simply because they happened to be in the same league. FFP was...

    All time average attendances

Seems as good a way as any of judging a clubs historic status as any. Back of the fag packet calculations show that without our Birmingham & Northampton seasons our average would go up to about 17,500, so still in the same position. These recent BCD games should bring down a few averages though :)

    Ex Player Watch

Dublin and Bellamy weren't at the club at the same time so he got mixed up on that, but nevertheless still interesting to hear, particularly about Bellamy. The trouble for us and largely why we got relegated was that unlike at his other clubs, for us Bellamy didn't perform well enough to put to...

    Watching the Rangers Game

I do hope that when the new season starts and while we are waiting for crowds to be allowed back, that ifollow is open to UK based supporters too, and so that the club can get some income from those games. Does anyone know if the non televised Championship games have been open to UK based...

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

Predicting crowds next season is difficult, particularly given we don't know how or when fans will be admitted in to watch again. Playing BCD initially probably also evens things up for us a bit with our Championship rivals, and means there is less pressure on the club to move back to Cov at...
