The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Can't help thinking Benn-Letwin amendment is about 3 years too later than it could have done

That's what nobody explained at the time. Have to accept at the time over half wanted to leave. Don't think anybody foresaw how divisively the leave camp was going to be split. Let's be honest go through that process again and May would never have been elected to replace cameron anyway...

sorry that was a typo. No Deal was part of a second sentence that wasn't completed :) Would have thought most of the 17.4m who voted to leave assumed the 2 main parties would honour their commitment to respect the referendum and subsequent manifesto promises from 2017 election to work to...

problem is you go past leave or remain and try and qualify the questions then less likely to have a clear majority. (ie over 50%).

Would have thought most of the 17.4m who voted to leave No deal assumed the 2 main parties would honour their commitment to respect the referendum and subsequent manifesto promises from 2017 election to work to deliver an acceptable leave deal. None come out with any credit - No deal element for...

a real gamble. If May can reduce the level of defeat by enough it could improve the chances of a longer delay. If she can't then she's going to probably find herself in a leadership challenge.

No extension then puts a no deal brexit back on the table. An extension until EU elections or even the EU Parliament reconvening possible. A 2nd referendum is unlikely to get an extension for 2 reasons. 1 the legal time requirements it takes for a referendum and that does not include any legal...

Absolutely no evidence for these types of remain statements. As incendiary as some of the pro Brexit rhetoric. No one can make such sweeping statements. No matter what type of Brexit there may be there is no solid evidence of what type of trade deals would happen with Britain and the EU, USA or...

Qualify that No by saying deal won't go through by March 31st. Lot of reshuffling will happen. The large block of no deal brexiteers will have to reexamine their position. Also a large number of labour mps who support Brexit will have to work out their positions. Corbyns own position as a...

Brexit as such has not floundered. The lack of a clear plan that satisfies enough vested parties has failed. Still nowhere near a parliamentary majority for a 2nd referendum. If you think now is a mess the battle (if there was a 2nd referendum) would be far uglier and more divisive then...

Fundamentally flawed representation mep to population ratios. Still the issue of how policies can be universally relevant over a large and diverse cultural and geographical spectrum. EU commission appointed not elected. The Commission initiates legislation and implements it if passed. Council of...

This is a problem. The EEC has mutated from a free trade organisation into the EU. The EU is not what people signed up to. Genuinely do not get this view that EU responsible for certain types of standard like workers, environment, hygiene. No evidence to suggest British govts of any political...

Still a strange one. They just paid Beckham 20 odd million then trade him. Peppers a good player. But bring in a new QB and leave him with no targets doesn't seem wise.

Bell to the jets. Still can't figure out whether it was worth giving up 14m to sit out last season. Jets hardly an upgrade on his previous situation. Reckon he'll give them a couple of years then play up but by that time no-one will care.

Wow. Browns seriously loading up both sides of the ball. Safe to say giants tanking. Keeping Éli and letting good players go.
