Err, but they then went 4 weeks without a manager and caretakers in charge before appointing Westley. The uncertainty affects things, as it surely is doing here too. Hence the worse results since Thorn went.

Manager interviews ongoing - from the official

Tis indeed. Think we need an inspirational figure to be honest, but if we can't do that we need someone on the up and not on the way back down. Otherwise another Peter Reid scenario is going to start brewing. Would be happy with Wise because of the inspiration I think he would bring, but would...

Manager interviews ongoing - from the official

To see how the fans would react and boy and the peasants revolting!! Can I be first to say 'Brown out?'

GMK don't seem to chuffed about Brown either. Always knew they had good taste over there. ;) 'Abysmal at Derby, a good 18 months at Hull otherwise abysmal, and abysmal at PNE. Apparently we're expecting him to buck a trend. Fucking hope this is wrong. ' 'Would be an horrendous...

Because he's had his moment in the sun and then failed since. Last job 29% win ratio. Not good enough for what we require. That will get us nowhere other than into midtable mediocrity.

Agree. He did really well to keep Hull in the Premier, but it has been pretty much downhill since then and if he's so good why has he been out of work so long and no-one else snapped up his services?

What about the 'won just 1 game in the last 15 at Hull' worker? And if he's a miracle worker why hasn't he simply walked into another job after his sacking last year and instead just gone into to football punditry? Why haven't clubs been clamouring for his services if he is so good?

I'm not at all sure about Dyche. Just the one season and made 11th place with Watford. Jury still out for me. I will be deeply saddened if it is Phil Brown though and not too much happier if it is Kevin Blackwell.

And we did boss that 2nd half at Derby. The man's a legend!!

You say succeeded, but the best win ratio he has in any job as manager is 33%. Last job was 29%. That's no better than any of our other managers we've had apart from Andy Thorn. Just saying like.

Hopefully the answer to that is going to be no. And for people who say that Brown is the answer, that is only the case if the question is "What's orange and full of shit?"

    SSN: Phil Brown being interviewed!

But that's like saying you'd rather have Pol Pot than Stalin.

    Biggest Fan Favourite?

He was popular for sure. Now he is merely tarnishing his reputation.

Yep. What about failed Preston boss, Brown?

On Brown: All 3 strikers got injured, and then the club went from 2nd in the league, with one game in hand to go top, to 10th in the league. Many fans put this down to playing "square pegs in round holes", as seen in the 5-2 loss away to Charlton, where left-back Steven Smith was played on...

    Biggest Fan Favourite?

Dion. Then also Speedie, Stuart Pearce, Trevor Peake, Hutchison, Steve Hunt, Wallace and Fergie, Ernie Hunt and Ian Gibson and George Hudson. Oggy not for me I'm sorry to say. Round by me where I used to sit in the old M&B Stand he was known as 'flapper.' Great shot stopper very poor on...

A truly dreadful manager who was found out ........ here unfortunately. Fulham very much seems like a flash in the pan now. For us he was awful and with Wales he just seems to be getting ever more so awful.

    lets get real

Because it is the difference between someone whose star is on the wane and someone's who is on the rise. Why are people suggesting Phil Brown? I don't get it. His stats are pretty goddamn awful. In his last role with Preston he had just 15 wins out of 51 matches. Derby 24 June 2005 30 January...

There's only 1 man for the job.....

Well that's good, the last thing we need is a candidate taking drugs.
