The figure is misleading because it doesn't include the number of times a player is fouled but the ref plays on as we are still in possession. That's all well and good of course in terms of keeping the game moving, but I've had a growing feeling a lot of teams are using this tactically now...

    Tavares

To be fair Ponticelli did that too, and also scored a couple of opportunistic goals. Unfortunately for him when MR brought him on in games he often played Ponticelli in deeper lying wide positions which really didn't suit him. Hopefully Tavares won't face the same fate, which he shouldn't given...

    Waghorn

I wasn't overly please when we signed him although I could see some logic in bringing in an older head. Pre-season a lot of our fans had overblown expectations of him given that his record last season gave every indication his performances and career trajectory were on the slide. I think a fair...

    Points for Play offs

I don't think it will be the fixtures themselves that will prove too problematic for us, but I do think that the effects of having a relatively small squad are likely to have a negative effect on our energy levels when it comes to the crunch. The only rider on that though is that the best...

Supporters forum - Thursday 3rd March

Following on from this can the club/ police/ council arrange for buses to wait from directly outside the ground to ferry away fans directly to the station after the game. I guess there might be an argument about who pays, but it might help cut down some of the aggro around the Arena Park.

I would imagine Sheaf is a cert to replace Allen. Think we will also start with Waghorn, with an outside chance of Dabo also starting as Kane seemed in need of a rest too.

    Hamer

Love watching Hamer, definitely has great vision which sometimes he doesn't pull off, but much better to watch than a safety first square ball merchant. Just hope he can avoid 5 more bookings as a 3 game ban would prove a big loss to us. In respect of Eustace & Hignett comparisons are both...

Good for him. Bolton on a good run at the moment!

A fresh Hamer should be a real boost for the Bristol game. Biggest decision for Robins will be whether he goes 2 up front again. I suspect he won't.

Godden out for another FOUR weeks

You would have thought Godden's greater composure in front of goal would have made today's game a lot easier to win than it turned out to be.

    Points for Play offs

I feel sorry for Gyokeres right now starting every game up front on his own, playing twice a week, and us having no option but to keep him on for the full 90 minutes every game. Obviously this is part circumstance with Godden injured and Walker loaned out, but against Barnsley I would like to...

    Hyam

That screenshot is misleading. The ball has already been released and Hyam looks at fault because he is behind McFadzean, but in real time Fadz made a bizarre decision to charge forward to play the guy offside from being in line with Hyam that I don't see how Hyam could have anticipated. Would...

    January

The club have to put up season ticket prices so we can have a better chance at improving our squad. Season ticket holders have had a great season so far, and got it on the cheap. Those bargain bucket prices are not sustainable in the long run if we want to have a competitive team in this league...

    Most points coming from behind

Utter rubbish. Most of the games we've gone behind in have followed a pattern of us missing chances first, not about us keeping it tight and then falling behind. The only team trying to keep it tight last night were Cardiff, hence our high possession stats. Obviously worked out for them though...

    Refereeing

I think that's the idea of two 30 minute halves, where the clock only runs when the ball is actively in play. The clock would automatically stop when there's a throw in, free kick, corner, goal etc and only re-start when the game restarts. There would then be no point taking ages to take a throw...

    Red Button Games

The only bits that wind me up are Clive's enthusiasm for the 'as it stands table' for which I have an irrational hatred, and the aforementioned Martin Winch contribution which always seems pointless. I noticed for the Boro game there was nother guy taking on the Martin Winch role who I thought...
