Happy (at the moment!) with the selection. One worry is their centre forward is 6' 5" Tom Eaves (we were linked with him a year or two back). I would have liked Tom Davies up against him.

It's a myth, unless your front players aren't holding the ball up a bit, otherwise it will keep coming back at you - then you do need that protection. Agree that the alternative e.g. Bayliss being there and dragging the team forward is the only other way to create attacks if it isn't sticking...

As others have said - couple away with England youngsters, several key injuries plus a shorter break than other teams for a lot of the existing squad.

Know what you mean. Until things clicked last year, we had a few of those games where we were garbage but MR eventually got us playing. Hopefully he'll sort us more quickly this year!

You have to remember that a few of these players may have been 2nd,3rd or 4th choice due to targets going elsewhere. We are low in the food chain. Do think players attitude/background should be checked. I heard our captain was asked about should we sign player x. He said no (due to off pitch...
