Not a hero amongst the lot of them.

Why bother? Only because if they brought the wrong man in the gates would drop further and they would lose even more money. They have budgeted for 11,000 per home game this season. If they get the right man in the crowds could quite easily be a couple of thousand higher than that.

Funny how we heard about Brown being interviewed though and no-one else. CT got hold of that from somewhere. Wonder if it was from inside the club. Do think there would be a bit of an outcry if the likes of Brown got the job so it would be well worthwhile the club finding out how anti the fans...

    First Sky Blue hero

Can only compare him to the likes of Rodney Marsh and Stan Bowles. Bags of skill and trickery and a real character.

But does anyone else think that the City might be leaking a few names out here and there to gauge reaction of the fans? Wilder last week and Brown this. Someone from the club no doubt reads the forums so wondering if they are testing the water a little with the Sky Blues fans. Not saying they...

    First Sky Blue hero

First one was probably Ernie Hunt. Don't remember too much at all about Ian Gibson. Can only remember going to one game where the fans were chanting for him to be brought on. Ernie Hunt could be a genius on the ball at times and was a big favourite of the city faithful, so I reckon it is him...

    Phil Brown

Summed up perfectly. Not so sure bollocking them is going to any good. Brown apparently sent his youth players up a fell at 6 a.m. one morning after a defeat and made them find their own way back down again. And apparently it completely backfired on him.

    Phil Brown

Tisdale would be great in my opinion.

    Phil Brown

Without wanting to keep bangin on about it though, people are saying that Brown had success but then has had nothing but failure since and 3 managerial positions, 3 sackings doesn't exactly get your mouth watering either does it. Don't think anyone has got any problem with anyone being sacked...

Poll: Who should be next manager of Coventry City?

I said that earlier. People seem to be championing him all of a sudden. Where were they when this poll appeared two weeks ago? :D The weight of opinion on GMK against Phil Brown is deafening. The apathy towards him on here two weeks ago says a lot too. Can only guess that he was everyone's...

“And there’s also potential for what I would call a more modern day first team coach." Hmmm. Billy McKinlay? Who else fits that bill?

Good post, though a fair few Hull fans do rate him.

Sounds about right. A low shot from just about the edge of the area, West End goal.

    Phil Brown

'All I know is that I will be completely underwhelmed by his appointment' Exactly where I am. We need someone who will shake up the whole club. Someone who will make an enormous impact. Adams had success then failed. Dowie had success then failed Reid had success then failed Boothroyd had...

If my daughter had been born on the same day as City were playing it would have been a tough call too! :D

    Fans Forum questions???

Well sort of, but I think that would be a bit of a soft approach and you would have to go in so much harder with your question!

    Phil Brown

Tis indeed. Just think with so much upheaval over so many years we now need stability. That is why it is so important to get this appointment right, not just for this season, but for the foreseeable future. We need a manager who can take us out of League One but can also make us a force to be...

    Attendences

If someone like Dennis Wise or Dion came in I think the crowds will increase by at least 1,000 a game at first. The likes of Blackwell, Brown, Ince or Megson and they will stay the same.

Used to buy The Sun for the tits. Now I just watch the City instead.

    Fans Forum questions???

First question on the list has to be. "Phil Brown is supposedly on the shortlist to be the next manager. Have you not read the City forums and how protected are the Sisu offices from attack by pitchforks?"
