Sorry shmmeee, you lost me with this sentence, although I agreed with your post overall ! Actually having re-read it for the third time, do you mean that if we kept him on in the January window, and that was the only business we did, you'd be happy (barring injuries). If so, it makes sense now...

Also remember, their keeper made a couple of great saves - especially the one from Davies, coupled with that sitter Jordan Willis missed. So yes - under the cosh second half, but could have been 3 or 4 up at half time.

Helps having people who can get on the end of a cross - Davies is a huge threat, with Willis and JCH not far behind. Means defenders can't just concentrate on marking one main threat.

I know we wouldn't move Thomas. but with his battling qualities, work rate and ability to break at pace, he might make a fantastic central midfielder. He's always getting a foot in and is really quick - he'd be a nightmare to play against in that centre mid - like a young naïve Doyle, but who...
