Yeah I’d probably agree with that. Simms I’d say is a bang average finisher (that’s not a bad indictment) whereas Cannon is slightly above average.

If we’re playing 2 strikers then we won’t be playing with wide forwards as well, so the Wright point is moot. If one of the remaining two got injured then we flip to the box midfield for a game or two. It’s really not an issue.

Agree on the criticism point. I just think his skillset has basically been matched by Bassette. If we’d signed Bassette first then BTA probably wouldn’t be here. As it is, it happened the other way round. I don’t dislike him; I just don’t see any need for him when the fee + wages could be better...

Appreciate there’s half the window to go, but I’m becoming pretty disillusioned with it all. Moving on Lati and BTA would have been a really good start, especially for the fees mooted. If we have doubts over replacing them then do our recruitment team only plan a week ahead?
