I did think this but you’d either not hear the people shouting your numbers or it would be carnage people waiting for the orders. at least when you have to get the staff to scan the barcode/qr it’s quite quick moving and there’s be a steady flow of people - in, scan, pick and handover, gone...

Should also point out it’s easier to play it on a trumpet or cornet than a bugle. Less chance for bum notes, although whilst there’s still that risk, he played it very well.

I play the trumpet. Last Post on a valved brass instrument particularly in the B Flat key is all notes where you would play them ‘open’. So no valves. So the notes are G, C and E through the octave.

It was a guy from the fusiliers but it was on a trumpet not a bugle. Wasn’t the same dude. Not that it matters really.

It was a trumpeter with the band - presumably their own one. don’t think it was the same guy as who played last post.

Dalziel messed up his bit about remembrance - obviously used last years speech and didn’t change the “84 years since the blitz” to 85. sloppy….. Enemy bit was quality though. I actually sang it. But not at kick off. Just a thing with me.

Only other time I’ve seen a live band at a football match was Sunderland away in the prem years. I think it was Precious performed at half time. Was a bit random. Although it wasn’t to help capitalise on a trend and sell a load of merchandise.
