Yup I feel the same. If this window doesn't go well, and If we lose mve and ahead, and then don't recruit to replace them, and then don't bolster the squad, it's going to be a seriously long season

id rather take the risk if i means we could add to the squad in jan/summer 2025 and get sheaf on form again, rather than lose another key player.

summer 2026 is a long way away, we dont even know if we've offered a new contract

Its been said before that sheaf needs a hamer playmaker next to him to get the most out of him. id rather see that type of player to get the best out of sheaf than lose him for £8m. Cash doesnt equal a quality side, esp when other clubs know you have it. look at kitchin costing £4m
