EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

The league won’t continue as the costs are too high for the majority of clubs. Play off a possibility probably because of the stink DM is making (actually don’t blame him with what he’s spent on posh). The biggest elephant in the room for me is when next season starts if at all. I’m not...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

No Neville for once seemed to be realistic pointing out the cost for most clubs of starting behind closed doors is prohibitive. From the debate you could see how the argument will go - play off teams and possibly teams in danger of relegation want to continue and everyone else happy to finish...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Posh chairman and Neville debating restart on sky sports now.

    Can we compete

Next season is such a hard one to call with everything that’s going on. Prior to Covid I would have said we’d be in a battle to stay up as I couldn’t see us increasing our budget without a move back to the Ricoh and or increasing season ticket prices significantly. Now working on the...

    Bristol City Captain

Resigned to the season being finished now and hoping the right thing is done and we’re promoted. Looking ahead I still question whether next season starts in September. I know behind closed doors is muted but for championship and leagues 1 & 2 I’m not sure the tv audience would be there for the...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

There will be salaried staff such as MP&L on site affected plus any Whitley/Gaydon engineering staff who can’t work from home. Finance, HR, Marketing, Sales and IT e.t.c still being paid as they’re able to work from home and their work still required. Going to need to sell those new defenders...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

It’s all about playing for time; China are on the whole back to work so car sales there whilst not where they were will start to increase in the next few months. Plus there’s other parts of the business such as parts which bring in revenue. It’s no secret the company needs restructuring even...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Like I say no inside knowledge but don’t see how the company can pay production staff when they’re not making or selling cars. The iww whilst great for those like me who are on it has always been an extravagance in my opinion, and the current circumstances would justify removing it especially...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Union is meeting JLR top bods tomorrow. No inside knowledge but imagine most of production will be furloughed if possible. Whitley and Gaydon staff non engineering are working from home however most are on an increased working week which can be pulled at any time (3 extra hours a week for 8.1%...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

My guess is the restrictions will be relaxed by the end of May. Kids back at school for the final half term. My worry is we’ll need to do this all again for the usual flu season so we could all be locked up over Xmas and into February. The economic side effects and those on family life will be...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

The economic effects of this are going to be monumental. Despite having a Tory government they’re going to have to do the unthinkable and nationalise key industry or at least take a stake in them, not just to survive the next few months but the impending recession/depression. The uk government...

    Ifollow again

I couldn’t get onto Ifollow using express vpn at all during yesterday’s game. App just froze on the club crest. Then opened it up without a vpn and could watch the game no bother. 3 o’clock Saturday kick off in the uk. Don’t know if someone had bodged the settings yesterday

    St Andrews

Really enjoyed it yesterday, was like being back at highfield road. On the Bedworth supporters coach which only took 30 mins to get to the ground. Few beers in the roost which had a good vibe. Atmosphere in the ground was no worse than the Ricoh. Food and drink was busy but again no worse than...

Anyone heard when these go on sale? Thought it was this week but can’t see them on the ticket site.

Home shirt out of stock already

Given its pre-order I’m not sure why you can’t pay for whatever size you want. I’m waiting on the infant kits for the little one and all the normal sizes for adults are already gone. Would have liked to have them for the first game of the season but still happy to put my money down and be next...

    Kit launch at Coombe Abbey

At the risk of being a moaner - no infant kits available yet, even to pre order. Look bloody great though.

    £5 Official Coach Travel.

Anyone looked into trains yet. Fancy getting the train and a few beers by the ground but not seen any confirmation Bordesley green will be open? Official coach is an option but always find they cut it a bit fine to enjoy a drink around the ground. Hate the queue for overpriced slop in the ground.

    New season fixtures

Anyone know what day we’ll be playing or whether we’ll know before fixtures are released. I know that blues and villa don’t play at the same time but Baggies and Villa do, so hoping it still Saturday kick offs and not Friday or Sunday. Was really pissed off Friday but have decided I’m going to...
