Yes, OCC giving the club every assistance to find a new stadium. Kassam sold the ground expressly to re-develop in the future, regardless of OUFC. OCC quite happy it seems to also assist Kassam with his new development. Hopefully a win for all concerned.

The Oxford lease runs until 2026 then they need to find a new home. They are currently scoping a site just outside of Kidlington for an 18,000 stadium. Lots of local opposition as you might expect. Kassam wants to re-develop the current site and get rid of the 3 sides.

I have a feeling that the EFL will be reluctant to sign off any takeover deal where the potential buyer cannot guarantee a home stadium. This has a long way to run yet.

Maybe we didn't sign as such a short term deal would not be acceptable to the EFL. They have previously required a long term deal to ensure our continued place in the league.
