Is there an advantage to be had from teams having their games postponed yesterday?

I'm not. Just think we were brought back down to earth yesterday and know that we have 2 very tough away games coming up. I will be totally thrilled if we get two draws out of those two matches.

    Dear deluded.....

I didn't say bottom half. I said close to the bottom 4.

    Preston goal on FL show

Well I hope you're right. We thumped Walsall though didn't we and then came up badly short against Preston.

    Preston goal on FL show

Not naive at all to say a title chance is not at all feasible. This from a side that has won just 3 games out of 12 at home?:thinking about:

Is there an advantage to be had from teams having their games postponed yesterday?

Not necessarily. Depends who you are playing. If our good run came against Sheff U, MK and Tranmere etc., the teams at the top, then yes. No disrespect, but Donny apart, our good run has come against Hartlepool, Colchester and Walsall.

    Dear deluded.....

Yet most of us are labelled as being doom and gloom who simply say we won't make the play-offs. How many have said we'll be relegated? 1? 2?

Is there an advantage to be had from teams having their games postponed yesterday?

Would say they did dominate us. We were at home yesterday and their keeper didn't have a single save to make. They also had the most possession, more corners and shots. It's not like AT for sure though. Much rarer now.

    Dear deluded.....

I do have to pick up on this doom and gloom merchant thing I'm afraid. Surely doom and gloom merchants would be people saying we are going to get relegated or will be close to the bottom 4 wouldn't they? How can people who say we will do okay, top half, but not make the play-offs, be all doom...

Is there an advantage to be had from teams having their games postponed yesterday?

Let's see after the next two games shall we. Both MK and Stevenage and now Preston, have all dominated us so far this season.

Exactly the same here Houch. Never watched Strictly, X Factor, Popr Idol, Britains' got Talent, Dancing on Ice or I'm a Celebrity. Used to watch Big brother but gave up on it many years ago.

Which also makes you wonder if the club lack ambition. Best way to turn around our finances is success on the field. They must know that if we were to go up the the attendances would rise and could rise quite dramatically. Wolves, Leshtur, Brum at home, could all be 20,000+ crowds. Have a...

    Points of View

1/a We had a bad day at the office, but earned a draw 1/b Only bad finishing by Preston kept us in the game. 2/a We should have started with Carl Baker. You play your best team. None of this don't change a winning side malarkey! 2/b we were right to field an unchanged side...

Who gives a flying fig. Do people on here actually watch that kind of dross?:eek::eek:

    Boxing Day deadline

Yep. totally agree. They would have to put prices up. Championship players would want Championship wages. As you say, who would pay the likes £25+ to watch City play at Hinckley with all the lack of facilities and comfort etc.?

    Dear deluded.....

No-one is moaning about yesterday i don't think. I am delighted with a draw and I think pretty much everyone is. Just that yesterday should a great big dollop of reality is needed. On Friday there was talk of title ambition. We have to just face it, we are not very good at home. In fact, we are...

Is there an advantage to be had from teams having their games postponed yesterday?

Yup. As I just said on another thread, we go to Hinckley then get promoted this season, what are they going to do about the 14,000 - 15,000 who would want to go up to watch us in the Championship next year?

    Boxing Day deadline

Just wonder what would happen if we were to go to say, Hinckley, get promoted now and then have 14,000 -15,000 want to go up each week next season in the Championship?
