Yes, I quite liked the later series too. There are some similarities, but they had a bigger budget so could show more devastation rather than just countryside as in the original series. Series 2 ended on a pretty good cliffhanger too. Shame they didn't commission a third series.

No, I won't as he will have obviously made the right decision. However, I agree with Shmmeee, it's annoying he ran his contract down when we had looked after him (particularly all those times he was injured), which meant he left for nothing.

Oh yes, agree with that. I have no issue with players bettering themselves, Wilson, Maddison, but I think some are a little foolhardy.

With a few obvious exceptions, players are rarely as good as they think they are. Or more accurately as their agent tells them they are.

First series is great, second OK, third is rubbish. Basically they had a tiny budget for the third series, so it was just like Emmerdale, concentrating on self sufficiency and that. I have them as video files, so if you want them on a memory stick, send me a PM.

Nah, don't agree with that. Rose has been pretty solid all season and rarely makes an error. Willis was always a heartbeat away from a mistake and seemed to have some kind of mind-to-mind connection with Burge. A calamitous pairing.

They were singing it at Rochdale. Took me a while to work it out, but it's Voulez Vous by Abba. Apart from his name I could only work out "running down the wing".
