    This Chinese Bid

If it is Sisu then so be it. We need money into this club and the revenue streams from the Ricoh. Should be the same no matter who the owner is.

Kevin Phillips - Lesson to be learned?

    I think so, yes.

And I think that is quite key, Ferret. If the Walsall move went ahead I do believe there will indeed be some rival breakaway club set up. If so, I dare say they would make every effort to make disenfranchised City fans feel part of this new identity.

    Coventry United FC

Just think he is saying they have missed an opportunity. The club needs fans and there will be many thousands of fans not going to Walsall, should that move go ahead. Here was a chance to build a club disenfranchised City fans could identify with.

Very decent post there Ferret. Agree with all that pretty much.

Ghandi here, if anyone wants to talk.

Hate to break it to you, but you're dead.

    second bid for city

Are you saying there was a fire at the Ricoh last week and Joe Elliot was responsible?

Kevin Phillips - Lesson to be learned?

I do think a player is more likely to but put off by fans jumping up and down and waving their arms as a distraction rather than booing. If Richard Keogh was taking a penalty against us I would just gurn.

Impressed by what he said. Appears that the council, ACL and Higgs have all been very supportive. Sounds too like this would be a massive investment. Major corporate organisations in the Far East.

Kevin Phillips - Lesson to be learned?

It's a psychological situation for sure. Doesn't matter how good a player you are or how good at taking penalties you are. It's also very much to do with focus and state of mind. The point of my OP anyway wasn't about penalties, it was all about how we treat ex players who were good servants...

Kevin Phillips - Lesson to be learned?

I wouldn't boo. I wouldn't cheer him either mind. I would just stay silent. Kevin Phillips said the booing made him more determined and focused on scoring. Therefore the booing didn't work did it.

    Coventry United FC

Of course good luck to them. I've already said I would be interested in going.

Or be called Waterloo Road because we're not very good.

But he wants CCFC fans to go and support the team. The fans are the customers. Aren't the customers views important then? Thought the customers were the most important aspect. Look how many on here have said they dislike the name. Without fans there is no club.

    Coventry United FC

It has no link to Coventry, it is derivative, boring and plain. I hate it and a combination of red and united I feel is going to put a number of people off. Why do I need to get over the name? If I don't like it, I don't like it.

    second bid for city

They're so dense though they would probably just go with the name Mr. Susi.

Kevin Phillips - Lesson to be learned?

Phillips, who started his career at Watford, said that the booing of the Watford fans as he went to take the penalty yesterday, spurred him on. Now when ex players leave usually and come back for an opposing team they do get a bit of stick, but usually that is only reserved for those who left...

    second bid for city

Hmm, amazing Mr. Fisher isn't it, that all these people are wanting to bid for CCFC Ltd, which in your own words is totally worthless.
  19. Otis

    Coventry United FC

But how does this stop anyone supporting the Sky Blues? You still support the Sky Blues, but as you won't attend any of the 'home' games you simply go and watch local football instead, and only do so until the Sky Blues return to Coventry. It's not an either or question. If I went I would go to...

    Coventry United FC

Nope. No-one's saying that ... are they? :thinking about: Just think people are saying they may go and watch them while City play away in Walsall for the next 3 years.
