Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield Wednesday [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 11th Jan

Nothing… shocking decision. Not a sky blue shirt near the keeper, or infact anything else on sight going on. If that doesn’t get looked at in a review of the game I’d be amazed. Not that anything would come of it.

Spine for the rest of the season

If we’re relying on Allen until end of season I’d be worried. Could take him in a three with someone a little more robust, if it can be done this window. Bite is something we massively miss & it’s been obvious for last couple of years.

Spine for the rest of the season

Personally still struggle with Allen, like his energy. But offers little other than that imo. Lightweight & gets muscled off the ball to easily. That said, we’ve not got much better and can’t see much in way of incomings with pedigree/experience. Seemingly need to hold out until summer.

    Sheff wed ratings

Dovin/Kitch/Simms come out top of the pile. Has to start forming that spine of the team for me. Fair play to those sticking their hands up to take a pen, even if they missed. Takes bollox every time no matter what round.

Simms/Kitch need to be starting every game as/when/if fit. Start building that consistent spine. Just need a combative midfielder in through the door that hits ground running & may start turning a corner, especially when Wright & EMC get back fit

Shocking decision awarding the GK a free kick there. No fooooker from Cov has touched him. He’s flapped and missed it

    Jack Stephens

Not adding any weight to this… googled him & brought back the below 😂😂 clearly means F all

    What's up with Ben Sheaf?

Wouldn’t want him to shoot either… his conversion rate is terrible at best. Most of his shots are high/wide

    What's up with Ben Sheaf?

Burden of being captain, alongside having no players capable of playing progressive balls next to him. Literally has zero confidence to do anything with the ball at current. Fact for most of season we’ve got no-one willing to pick up ball drive at players & play forward pass has been obvious...

    Season over?

I’ve accepted its mid table mediocrity. We’re no better than that on current viewing & form, hard to argue we’ll improve substantially unless we manage to snag some players in Jan that change the trajectory. Not putting this on Lampard as he dealt the cards he has. Yet can’t see him getting...

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Sunday 29th Dec

I was there for the full 90+ in person, I can say for my point of view none of it was good. It was acceptable to walk away with a point. It was a long way from good. It was a poor performance & we had very little bite to anything we did. Turn up & do that to Norwich away & we’ll get spanked.

    Match Thread Home game atmosphere

Shit performances have shit atmosphere, quite simple really. That alongside the same 3/4 songs being churned out which are limited.

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Sunday 29th Dec

Crap game, little progressive passing, too slow & only two clear cut chances. Pretty woeful home performance despite what some would say. I’ll take the point and move on, that said the Plymouth game did gloss over the glaring issues we still have. How Bobby Thomas got MOTM is beyond me, nearly...

    Winding house lane

Only positive to take from the game today is that I could get out of burbages lane quickly. Home by 530 rather than 630. Everything else about the game was shit! 😂

At risk of coasting into losing this 1-0 they’ve had better chances, only needs one to drop as we don’t look like breaking them based on that half.

Highlight of the half for Cov Bassette runs with ball… 🤣 wasn’t much good that! Rafa on, Simms on for me can’t be much worse than what we’ve already tried

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Sunday 29th Dec

So one dimensional, everything is so telegraphed. Obvious what we’re going to do before we even do it. Crying out for progressive midfielders in January, as for this game I’d throw Rafa on see if he can actually attack the byline

Match Thread Preston vs. Coventry City - Match Thread - Sat 19th Oct

We look pretty average, no surprises considering results & confidence. Still lacking composure & control in the middle, again shouldn’t be surprised with that either as that’s been one consistent since start of the season. Unsure what I’d do to change its been relatively poor from both sides. We...
