Totally ridiculous, and obviously totally so they can play abroad for exhibition matches. The winter is so variable in this country. You could have a lot of January with bad snow so all matches cancelled, then the weather imptroves in Feb. But they have the winter break. Clueless..

Scrap the entire loan system. That way if Chelsea sign you, you are only going to play for Chelsea or sit your career out on a bench. The players would then filter down the leagues as it used to be. Of course they could play in some kind of Reserve team/combination league.
