The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I thought it related to the whole NHS but just looked it up and it's only certain parts, e.g NHS property services.Though they own many of the buildings that the NHS services operate from so that's a bit worrying.

how have Virgin taken over parts of the NHS? Another one Fernando may be able to shed some light on.

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

. Do you read your own posts? "Because you are one of those that very frequently defend Corbyn but I can't remember you ever saying anything against him." You said you can't remember me saying anything against him, I have. I didn't disagree that I defend him but I have, albeit rarely...

I think you work in the NHS FP, do you think that could change? Could it change as part of a trade agreement?

are you mad? The text refers to how they negotiate any trade deal in any country so it won't specifically refer to any "state owned enterprise" in any country but it will encompass all "state owned enterprises" in any country they are negotiating a deal with. That would include the NHS, Fuck me...

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

just because you can't remember doesn't mean I haven't. if you could be arsed trawling through this and the EU thread, (and there's no reason why you should be), you would find me criticising him, heavily outweighed by me defending him I'll admit.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I've just showed you a statement from the US TPA. What do you think it means ? "This is particularly important on newer issues affecting our ability to compete in the global economy, such as leveling the playing field between state-owned enterprises and our private firms." There is no...

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

That's not true, and if you could be arsed reading through this thread there would be proof to the contrary.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

No, I think that statement shows they would seek provision for private US medical companies to take over bigger chunks of the NHS. I din't know a great deal about the food industry angle but there seems to be a lot of concern about that as well.

my concern with that is how it relates to the NHS.

I think you're right. Here is a link to the US trade promotion authority website: Trade Promotion Authority | United States Trade Representative understandably, their main concern is with getting the best deal for the US, but this line is the worrying one: "This is particularly important on...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I'm not on about people being wrong, I'm saying there was no consensus on exactly what Brexit meant. it's undeniable to be honest, especially when even the PM and her cabinet can't agree, (see Boris's comments yesterday).

but we'll still have to renegotiate them all, or more to the point, Liam Fox will, which is the most worrying part fro me.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

there isn't really a comparison with those voting remain because people were basically voting for the status quo. There would have been no process to go through if remain won as there is with exiting so the two aren't really the same.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

is there a trade surplus with the US? I've read there is a bit of ambiguity over this with both reporting trade surpluses with each other at the end of last year. Obama said a trade deal with the UK would take 10 years, Trump maybe more accommodating, special relationship and all that but he is...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

we export 50 billion pound more to the rest of the world than to the EU but that is split between several countries which all require new deals negotiating.
