Probably best to leave this to the people that have been to more than one island but since you asked me - Few people I know that are aquanted with greek islands consider Crete the best but it is the largest (by some distance) and it is cheap to get to. If what you like about the other islands...

Yeah, I wouldn't bother with him. Doesn't really fit the age profile and has a tendancy to lose the ball in the final third.

Lot in there I agree with, I'm fine with Eccles if he has the right man along side him. There will be times in a season you have to patch and Allen may still play a valuable role at some point. But playing the first game of the season without a single recognised DM?? Nuts.
