    Our first 10 Games

Yeah I think it all looked pretty good bar two moments of class from Dewsbury Hall. Godden missed a few really good chances. Wright only came on late and nearly scored a worldy. Can't remember him missing any in that game (doesn't mean it didn't happen) but the three of them fluffed some...

    Our first 10 Games

Memory isn't quite as sharp as it was - others may recall differently but definitely some comedy defending, some keeper errors (Wilson at that point) but also a LOT of missed chances. Team effort for me.

    Our first 10 Games

You are both right here. We were terrible right up to early/mid November and blew any chance of challenging at the very top long before xmas. We then matched the top 2s form through until April and should have snuck 6th but threw away a 1-0 lead against Cardiff, losing 2-1 without them having...

Okay... fine... Teams that have gone up - Leicester and Southampton; 2 of the most expensive squads ever to grace the championship. Teams that have come down - 3 teams that flopped last season and have a combined total of 5 wins in nearly 60 games in 2024. The teams that were relegated in 23...

Is it really? It's not supposed to be. I'm just trying to tell what I perceived to be a youngster to have more confidence in himself and to not write pages of panicked dribble when challenged. ;)

Oh BSF - what is with this mad rambling - just stick to your guns. The league looks on paper to be significantly weaker than last year. Most of us get that. Anyone arguing with you is likely just winding you up.

    2024-25 Championship preview and predictions

Everyone seems very confident about Leeds seemingly forgetting that they were 2nd, 1 point off the top (a team fresh out of league 1) with 6 games to go and totally blew it (1 win, 1 draw, 4 loses). They then didn't turn up for the playoff final and a bunch of their best players left. They...

    Transfer Rumour Bobby Clark

I've advocated something similar but with a low wage cap outside of a core number rather than forcing them to be released. No problem with them employing thousands of 18 year olds but it ought to pay more to play for Doncaster than be nowhere near the first team for Man City.

    Wright

GIMOC's tall tales notwithstanding, there is talk of Gyokeres to Liverpool, Toney to Arsenal and Solanke to Spurs. Sporting, Brentford and Bournemouth looking for replacements? Could be a nervy end to the window.

Adapting the formation to the opposition? This sounds suspiciously like cheating! 🤔

Ah now this is interesting. We all know Robins loves a three, particularly in tough looking games. A lot of people saying we need another CB - for me that has only been a 'need' if Robins wants the tactical flexibility to switch to a 3.

Ha, well then I am glad to have cleared that up. I do think BlueSkies has a point when he says it is a weaker league (on paper) but then I didn't see Ipswich racking up 90+ points last season. We shall see. 😁

Just to add a little detail to BSB's answer you only get 2 years parachute payments if you come straight back down after promotion so the only teams that have it this season are Burnley, Leeds, a Luton team that doesn't exactly splurge money and the second worst team in premier league history...

Alright, alright, its late. 5 out of the top 6. If you really want - 100% of the playoff teams benefited from parachute payments. You are a smart man, you could have figured that out yourself. ;) Anyway the basic point is that the playoff and promotion places tend to be dominated by teams with...

There are also only 4 teams this season that have parachute payments which is relatively low. Last year it was 6. Edit. 5 of those finished in the top 6.

    Recruitment has been shocking

CCFC54321 said: Something irritates me is Robins said on Monday that Yamamoto and Wright were struggling to settle. _________________ Don't know what your problem with this one is! Yamamoto was a huge disappointment for me. Can't remember him having any impact on last season and it appears he...
