What’s your expectation for the new guy?

8 points is nothing in the championship as we have shown in previous seasons. Lots of points get dropped and anyone that can string a run together will find themselves there or there abouts.

What’s your expectation for the new guy?

Yeah, I agree with you both, and did genuinely believe that Robins would drag us into the playoff mix at some point but Cam's key point here was that we shouldn't be sacking the new manager for finishing 7th given that would be playoff form over the course of a full season. I get Nanolimp's...

What’s your expectation for the new guy?

I would have said the opposite. I had high expectations because of Robins. If it is a 'Lampard' let's just concentrate on staying up. I'm not being negative there. Just lowering expectations. Based on many years of previous experience. There is a reason the fans of other clubs sh@t themselves...

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Yes, national press is confusingly silent given that it is a 'nailed on' 'done deal'. Reports that he was at the match and at the CBS can't be true. If he had really attended a youth game I would have expected a lot more people to have blabbed and the odd sneaky photo. Either way there is...

    Frank Lampard Rumours

I don't think you are alone here. I've made peace with the Lampard decision but the equaliser yesterday - if it was Robins I would have been punching the air - instead it was more 'yay'.

Amongst the worst decisions in the history of Coventry City FC

People that think the recruitment is entirely on Robins need to look back at his interviews over the last 2 years. Summer before last he was banging on about 'needing to replace Hamers energy in the middle of the park, this summer 'a different type of player' 'more experience'. Do the players we...

    Haji Wright injury

Nasty! Before we start panicking though I had a lot of that type of injury when I played sport and the human ankle can be surprisingly flexible. Hard to tell from a still but if he has mostly rolled it sideways he might not be too bad. If he has full 180ed it and done ligaments and bone we...

Our front 2 have a total of 0 senior goals for us. Good time to change that.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Some always do. Obvs don't have stats to back this up (aside from 3 polls) but I suspect Robins had higher levels of support than most championship managers.

    Mark Robins managing another team

He'll be back. Once Lampard has led us to promised land of L1, he shall return and the third coming will be the brightest of them all. For so it is foretold!

    Frank Lampard Rumours

That was exactly where my mind went too. I don't want Frank to take us to the next level - we need someone that'll keep us up! 😂

Right who's the next manager then?

Ifkr. Where the h*ll has that come from!?Replacing Robins with someone with no managerial experience would be the maddest thing ever. Frank - post Chelsea (1st time) he has taken on jobs that have done him no favours so I suspect he has been more choosy of late... Would feel a very "look, I'm...

    Frank Lampard Rumours

I don't really 'prem' but I am with D O'D here most of their team was already on the beach at that point. He was just there to see out the fixtures and everyone knew it.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Very different kind of manager. Lampard went in and tried to play football 'the modern way' whereas Dyche was much more experienced and pragmatic. Not being as good as Dyche is not fatal for me. I guess -meh. But this could go horribly wrong for all parties.

Right who's the next manager then?

Not Lampard in by any means but by the time he joined Everton the rot had well and truly set in.

Right who's the next manager then?

Odds on us appointing someone and then sacking him before the end of the season?

Right who's the next manager then?

I quite like Lampard - which is why I would counsel him not to take the job. If he gets it I will support him but I fear Lampard is to Robins what Rooney was to Eustace.

I'm not sure he does tbh. Seemed pretty stunned in the press conference and probably didn't expect to be making big calls this weekend. If it all goes horribly wrong for him - he is a relatively inexperienced coach thrown into a difficult situation and I hope the fans recognise that.
