    Who takes the next penalty?

Go to your best technical player. Sheaf

    First 3 names on teamsheet

    Sheaf, Wright, Kitching.

    Recruitment has been shocking

One of the big upgrades is having our own players. Norton-Cuffy, Wilson-Esbrand, McNally, Doyle, Panzo. Some good quality but your always rebuilding when you have a lot of loans.

We simply have to climb the table at some point

I think we’ll go on a bit of a run in the next few games. Back 4 starting to settle. Robins will string Allen/Eccles/Sheaf across the midfield and put O’Hare in behind Simms and Wright. I fancy us to win a fair % of the games pre and over Xmas.

    How will it end?

The smart money is on planet earth being absorbed by the sun and incinerated in nano seconds in an apocalyptic super event which will see only Peter Billing and Ray Woods survive.

    How much dosh?

Championship wise we’ve tried the journeyman manager route. Remember Coleman, Dowie, Boothroyd etc etc. None a patch on Robins

    Hamer back?

Don’t think it will happen but I’d welcome him with open arms.

    How much dosh?

I’d say 6-7 million. We only need a net increase of one midfielder. And I’d go for a prem cf on loan using Ayari’s wages who is send back.

    Time to part ways…

He hasn’t spent anything. He’s sat on £15m. That aside I’d say of the big cash outlays if you sold in Jan you’d be looking at a profit on Thomas, Kitching, Lats, Sakamoto and Collins. Accept the jury being out on Wright and Simms but from Kings point of view I’d say he’s in a good place.

    Time to part ways…

OK, so if you ignore the utter shambles Robins had as a backdrop when taking us from L2 to the brink of the Premier League surely King is still happy. We’ve just sold £35m of talent which means after his outlay King has roughly £15m profit sat there in his bank account - earned by Robins. King...

    Time to part ways…

Let’s be clear. What Robins has done here since taking over is miraculous. They ought to offer him a contract that just runs until he decides to retire.

    This forum ….

So it’s acknowledged that his selection was wrong. We missed a pen. And we were still only narrowly edged out away by 2nd in the league. And we’ve just won a couple on the bounce. I reckon we win a fair proportion of our next games.

Kitching will end up being a Rolls-Royce. Team is shaping up nicely and really don’t get the negativity.

Thought we were ok today. No disaster at all. O’Hare looked decent and hopefully it will serve to see the end of Ayari - not interested in players who don’t want to play for us. Need to see a front three of Simms, Wright and O’Hare. Sakamoto is obviously carrying a knock. Take the positives -...

    Ipswich Ratings

I actually thought we were ok. Away from home versus a side with momentum and in 2nd. Shows we are a decent outfit. Ayari is not worth a starting place and I’ve never bought in to the Godden “poacher” myth. A front two of Simms and Wright with O’Hare behind them must be close. Happy with the way...

Much better second half. If Godden only plays as he scores then he can’t play. Contributes nothing far too often. Ayari just doesn’t want it.

May as well have a go now. Don’t think we’ve been as bad as some are saying. But we need more options going forward and there’s no point not getting them on the pitch now. Ipswich do concede so if we can get one back who knows.

At a basic level O’Hare is not fit and shouldn’t be starting. Ayari? Yet to see anything from him that warrants a place. I’d rather have strung 4 across the midfield and stuck Simms up with Wright to keep them occupied.

    Transfer Rumour Ellis Simms

I don’t think you can play all three. Simms looks less of a natural footballer to me than the other two. At the moment though I’d play him ahead of Godden purely on a greater contribution basis.
