    Star Wars

I can see why Disney got all over this. Just a bit of post production CGI here and there and then if you flip Princess Leia's hair 90 degrees she's suddenly got Mickey Mouse ears.

Definitely at fault for the goal there. Having now watched that I think we should drop RCC and bring back Burge.

Best City XI of all-time (Central defenders x 2)

Right. Just never heard his name mentioned before in terms of good players who have played for us. Think we've had a fair few quality centre halves over the years haven't we, Curtis, Barry, Gillespie, Breen, Holton, Peake, Parker, Babb, Dann, Killer.

Why You Dislike Other Teams ?

Leeds though were also thoroughly disliked for the Dirty Leeds tag of the 1970's and yep, they were a very, very dirty side and the first English team I ever remember diving, cheating, time-wasting, feigning injury and using negative tactics. It was ridiculous really, because they could play...

    Best film franchise

Obviously being based on a book series that itself got stronger and stronger is a massive advantage to the film makers. A lot of films simply become franchises on the back of the success of the first outing.

    Best film franchise

Yeah, but another franchise that lost its way as it went on. Matrix was the same and Predator.

    Best film franchise

Would say Harry Potter got better and better, but it's probably the only franchise to do so. Most others seem to get poorer and poorer as they roll on.

    Best film franchise

Personally I think I would have to go for Harry Potter. Each film was consistently good. I loved the first 2 Alien films and the first 3 Indiana Jones' and also am a big fan of Die Hard, but that seems to have lost its way and freshness over the years. James Bond for me is too differential...

    Best film franchise

Not seen any of the Fast and Furious films. Will I be bored if I don't like car chases, Nick? That's my perception, car chases and crashes.

Best City XI of all-time (Central defenders x 2)

You think Alan Dugdale was better than Roy Barry? Interesting. I thought Dugdale as distinctly average myself.

    Best film franchise

Okay, so following on from the Star Wars thread, just wondering which film franchise people would say is the best of all time? A few possible suggestions: James Bond Indiana Jones Scream Godfather Lord of the Rings Die Hard Back to the Future Alien Omen Toy Story Harry Potter...

Roy Barry and Trevor Peake. Still the 60's.

    Star Wars

Just think there's a better way of selling it. ;) As I said earlier on the thread I really liked the 2nd and 3rd films, the Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, but I just can't understand all the hype, which is seemingly way, way over the top. I'm sure this new film is good, but there...

Mowbray wants to sign Cole and Bigi in January

Maybe they'll move the CT offices to the Butts too, so they can be closer to the club as it builds its new home.

    Star Wars

I have a friend who watches a Star Wars film once a week, every week, come rain or shine and he's been doing it now for 20 years or more. When you look at stuff like Blade Runner, it still looks futuristic and really stands the test of time in terms of music, look, feel, set design etc. The...
