9th 3 winnable games coming up. A good time top play Peterborough I think. They have won only 4 of their last 10, a good run under normal circumstances but not up to their early performance. Then fleetwood and Walsall, both winnable IMO.

Just re-read this thread, it's easy to forget how despondent we were following the Lincoln game, yet 2 games later we were in the playoffs, and 3 games after that, promoted. It just proves how quickly things can change.

Yes, but now we are playing a settled team and that has given the new players the time needed to settle in and understand how MR wants the team to play. Not everyone blamed the players, many of the criticisms were about the amount of players we used in the first few games IIRC.

If Kelly can find the form he had at the end of last season, he can play a key role as well.

We have to think in terms of playoffs being a real opportunity, surely. Only 5 teams have conceded fewer goals than us, and I'm optimistic that we have players here who can score goals despite our meagre total so far. If we can stay lucky with injuries and suspensions, I see this season playing...

The trouble is, 8 goals in almost a quarter of the season is very worrying. Discounting the Premier League where only 7 games have been played, only Grimsby in L2 have scored fewer goals than us.

I thought at one point in the second half that Sunderland had decided to play for a draw, which would have been ironic, but to be fair they did try to win it late on, and they contributed to making it the exciting game it turned out to be. Maybe now they know we are not cheating scum, 1977 can...
