Probably - I was just frustrated on his/our behalf #biasedfootballfan

    Festive fixture memories

Was that the game where I helped dig snow off the pitch/surrounding area to ensure the game went ahead. Joe Elliott handed out free tickets to those who helped - and we then lost the game......gggrrr !!

    Festive fixture memories

    Just googled it - had forgotten the sequence of scoring. No wonder we enjoyed it. 0 : 1 John Ryan 0 : 2 Kevin Reeves 0 : 3 Martin Peters 1 : 3 Barry Powell 2 : 3 Ian Wallace 2 : 4 Kevin Reeves 3 : 4 Ray Gooding 4 : 4 Bobby McDonald. 5 : 4 Ray Graydon

    Festive fixture memories

Boxing day. Coventry 5-4 Norwich, and Jim Blyth being chaired off the pitch after saving a last minute penalty to prevent it finishing 5-5.

    Referee Analysis Sheffield Wednesday

I was frustrated with him allowing Dunkley to headbutt Max twice-both in first half I think (?). when he was clearly unable to get the ball. People criticised Max for being ineffective, but I cut him some slack, as I thought he may well have been affected - although, if so, should have come off.

    January transfer window

The problem is getting better quality in, as who is going to want to let them go, with squads being stretched with injuries? Will only ever be PL loanees and the competition for them will be fierce (£££s)

Christmas Quiz AGAIN! PLEASE READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!!!

Was that aimed at me G :ROFLMAO:? If so, I'm going to enter (and donate to a charity, promise). I've been a bit busy dealing with funeral stuff at the moment, but hats off to you for arranging this - a lot of effort clearly gone in. Will look through to find the deadline, but will try and submit...

    Millwall COVID?

Depends on which ones have been laid low. Those who haven't caught it will, as you say, be well rested.

Yes - agree, but don't want either breaking down. I'd sooner play Pask than risk that.

    Coventry & fans

Agree. One typo in an e-mail/letter immediately devalues the content for me; it shouldn't do, but I always subconsciously 'judge' the sender. Similarly, I hate it when I send a txt and find that predictive txt, or my sausage fingers have created an error.

I think Sam McCallum has been great this season. Non league (Herne Bay) to The Championship in 2 seasons? Looks more confident every time I see him, and think the lad has a big future.

Agree - if Da Costa is up to 90 minutes

    Da Costa

A bit different playing for 15-20 mins, but agree, there were signs that he looked a bit more like contributing. Be really good if he is able to allow Dabo to properly recover, as he looks like he needs a fortnight in bed / a health spa. Give me a fully fit Dabo, and Hamer playing every game and...

    Match Thread Stoke City

Mentioned on another thread that Stoke have a cup Q final v Spurs on 23rd (so we will get a bit more rest than their team). I'd switch McCallum over to the right (he did well there before) and bring Giles to the left (rest Dabo). Agree it's too soon to risk Godden, so whoever is fit from Max or...

For clarity, I think Hamer is still out against Stoke ( please correct me if I'm wrong!)

    Match Thread Sheffield Wednesday

That's what I meant to be honest. I'm sure he'll give him a break when we play Norwich in the cup, and hopefully a whole week off will help. I've just realised Stoke have a Cup Q final at home to Spurs on Wednesday (23rd) before they play us on 26th (so that is a bit of a bonus, in terms of them...

    Chef Evans Anyone?

I'd take Chef Evans in a heartbeat, my wife is bang average at cooking, and although his stubble might prickle in bed, if he can knock up a decent cheese and mushroom omelette, I'm in. Edit: sorry Otis, I've just read back through the thread and you got there first ;)

    Match Thread Sheffield Wednesday

Not that Dabo is up to speed yet, but on a lot of occasions he and McCallum were out by the touchline and instead of being able to take the ball in their stride, they had to stop and check in case the ball bobbled, which it often did. The pitch was crap - although I wouldn't blame the defeat on...

    Robins

Not being negative, but we could easily lose the next 2 games (Stoke are really tough, and PNE too) Fancy us to pick up something at Millwall (just a feeling). Will definitely be a meltdown if we do lose the next two. Just the way it is with supporters. Think we need to utilise Giles and his...
