As someone who has never really been a fan of Eccles I'm starting to have my doubts.

He's done well this season and was great last night. Thankfully he no longer has to take corners. Can't believe I'm saying this but I think I would rather have him than Sheaf in the team.

Sure it's been mentioned but can't be arsed to look through the thread; chanting "he's one of our own" to James Maddison was embarrassing. I get clapping him, I did that, but chanting his name during a game we're trying to win is frankly unbelievable, though not surprising from some of our fans.

Now me, I'm always more confident against the big teams. Not saying we'll win but I never expect us to get thrashed. Don't want it to go to penalties as, obviously, we're not very good at them.
