But the same sort of thing happened with Stokes and most people are saying he didn't play well. We kept giving the ball to Stokes without any support at all. Difference is, Stokes didn't play some of the suicide passes Lameiras made.

Mogga got the tactics wrong today

It would once we've won it. Ten times more exciting and much more money for the coffers too. Pretty certain we'd get close to a full house if we got to the play-offs.

Tend to agree. The game on Tuesday for Walsall revolved around Sawyers. Everything went through him. Maddison is not that type of player and I do think we could strengthen in other areas and not miss Maddison as much as Walsall would miss Sawyers.

Yep, agree. JOB over Lameiras any day of the week.

    Phillips

Guess it would have to be Bigi, cos I think we would really miss Vincelot in the midfield big time. Does Bigi have the discipline to play that role I wonder? Not convinced myself.

    Rubén Lameiras

An impact player from the subs bench only for me. Don't think he should be first choice for selection. Maybe here and there perhaps, but not with any degree of regularity.

    Murphy

Thing is weeman, we can't give him credit for stuff he didn't do. I thought Lameiras was worse than Murphy too. There was a couple of times at least where slack passing from Lameiras lead to dangerous breakaways for Burton. He showed a bit of trickery, but then he was easily out-muscled...

And I am still very confident of getting into the play-offs. Now not so confident of top two though, not unless we can change things round and bring in reinforcements.

    Burton Albion (Home) Match Thread

Yeah and we kept losing our tempo because we kept giving Stokes the ball out wide left in our build-up play and then refused to support him, so he was left on his todd and had to put his foot on the ball and then when he realised he had no support, simply just pass it backwards again. Must...

    Murphy

Don't think I ever saw Tommy Hutchison put a tackle in. Murphy is not a 50/50 challenge type of player. If he went in for 50/50 he would probably end up injured.

    Our Defence

You said it yourself, that error was huge and just how many goals has he cost us now? It's a number of penalties and mistimed challenges and cases of diving in. Lots of schoolboy errors, so even if he wasn't that bad, that error yesterday was terrible. I would say he looks very much out of his...

Disappointing, but still in our hands

    We definitely still need strengthening.

    Burton

Unless things change we have no chance, no. That's two games against our rivals where we have been found out and had no change of game plan. Tuesday we seemed to have the win in the bag, but just sat back and tried to hang on to the one goal lead. Yesterday we were doing okay and a draw...

Who watches American Football in the UK?

Wow!! Two great games last night. Guessing many of you maybe haven't watched yet, so with that in mind .... I never, ever expected Arizona/Green Bay to beat Green Bay/Arizona in such a fashion. Wow!! What a great/crap game. And as for the Pats and the Chiefs, who would have thought Brady...

Disappointing, but still in our hands

Yes, true. Accept that. Think Ricketts wouldn't have allowed that to happen, but then again, Ramage has only been with us 5 mins and he did come from the Indian leagues, so accept it will take him time to adjust. It was Phillips' one that was the one true shocker! Just how many times have we...

    Murphy

They are unable to put strong tackles in. They are simply not that type of player. Did you ever see Michael Owen putting strong tackles in, or Glenn Hoddle? Tommy Hutchison? We can't expect them to be complete players, but we do need them to excel at the things they ARE good at.

Disappointing, but still in our hands

I'm far from doom and gloom Tony. I still definitely think we will make the play-offs and what a wonderful season that will have then been. Just feel we aren't winning enough games now. As I said before, draws are fine, but you can't then be following them with defeats. I can take the odd...

He was culpable in that second goal though.

    Phillips

I am basing my judgement on the fact that he surely can't be worse than Phillips! ;)

Moaning about the little things in life

Well that's what I'm talking about. I hated the news coverage of Princess Diana's death, so what did I do? I changed channels! Why would I sit there watching something I didn't want to watch? And that's what these people do, they watch the programme and then moan about it. Just change the...
