    Just calculated....

2 hours return then and from Cov you are looking at a 70 mile round trip every time.

we support the groundshare - sign here

A temporary basis should surely be a year max, not 3 years minimum!
  3. Otis

We are moving to a ground that is about to be redeveloped FFS

Surely this will mean the capacity dropping for a short while won't it?

    Coventry United

    On me ed Nobsy.

Keep cov in cov - nopm - plan for today

Wouldn't it be better for the SBT to arrange a meeting with the Northampton chairman and then go down there to talk to him?

Errm ... he was agreeing with me wasn't he? :thinking about:

Keep Coventry in Coventry - NOT ONE PENNY MORE! campaign

If it is now confirmed officially that we are going to Northampton, I will then finally come onboard with the Not One Penny More campaign. It should always have been about us playing outside Coventry and nothing else anyway. Now looks like that will be the case, so I will now fully be behind...

    Only Solution

The only solution does seem to be the removal of Sisu now. Rightly or wrongly, ACL and the council have said they can't deal with Sisu but would be willing to with the likes of Preston Haskell etc. For me, I will back anything that keeps us here in Coventry at the Ricoh. Never been totally...

same dates for home games ccfc and ntfc

Goodbye Sunday, hello Monday afternoon at about quarter past two. Actually, don't the rugby club play elsewhere?

This episode has been painful but necessary

    1. The Northampton stadium is over 30 miles away. 2. We HAVE a stadium here in Coventry. 3. We are moving from a 32,000 capacity stadium to a 7,600 seater stadium. Absolute madness!!!!! 4. We will likely be playing outside our city for a minimum of 3 years. 5. The vast majority of City fans...

    Coventry Sphinx?

Thought Alvis was our manager. I'm confused. :thinking about:

    Confirmed northampton

Sounds to me like no-one in the West Midlands would have us.
  14. Otis

    Confirmed northampton

Vast majority very much against it!!

    Coventry Sphinx?

    Apart from Coventry United.

If it were a straight choice between .....

Fair point, Brighton.. If we move away a small part of me would probably not mind the club being docked 15 points. If so, the crowds would be even lower still with no hope of a good season.

    Coventry Sphinx?

But if I can travel to Leamington I can travel to Northampton can't I? Fine for anyone over that way, but thought the main argument was that of a Coventry side playing in Coventry. If that's not to be the City then if anyone, it needs to be another team in Coventry.

If it were a straight choice between .....

Would say that it is quite a large number, if not a majority who are not against our playing elsewhere for a long term gain. I just see it as a loss, and not even a short term one. Think it could be a lot longer than 3 years.
  19. Otis

If it were a straight choice between .....

Why? Many on GMK advocating that moving away for a number of years and then returning to a new stadium could be a very good thing. I would rather City in the Conference but playing here, rather than moving away for any length of time. Don't think it is a pointless question at all.

    Coventry Sphinx?

I know people have talked about new clubs (Coventry United) and Nuneaton coming here and other sporting teams playing at the Rioch etc. But surely wouldn't it be better if it were Cov Sphinx who were the team to follow and them to move to the Ricoh rather than talking in terms of a completely...
