    February is season defining

We are on 1.538 PPG, if we repeat that to the end if the season we will be on 70 / 71 points.

    Championship 21/22

I get your point but It's much easier to put the ball in the net when there is no defender between you and the goal ;)

    The Championship's well run clubs

While they are paying their investors a much higher interest rate than they can get elsewhere, I guess they are relying on them never asking for their investment back

Hasn't exactly been prolific at Reading either, 2 goals in 8 games

8ish mil on Dike He has played 2 games I believe, and is now out for up to 2 months. Unlucky but it just shows how things can wreck a season.

    Just curious but

There is a thread "8 points better off" where a list was posted about how many goals the top scoring midfielders have got. But Swift (on 8 goals) is Reading's top scorer, and in a number of teams where their midfielders have scored highly, they are among their teams' top scorers. Some of this...

    Points for Play offs

The only team we don't have a realistic chance of catching is Fulham. Having said that, I don't think we have a realistic chance of an auto spot, but that doesn't mean we can't catch any of the other 5 in the top 6. There are still 60 points to play for and we have a game in hand. Blackburn or /...

    Points for Play offs

We have left ourselves a bit to do, but others are shooting themselves in the foot as well. (Stoke for instance have only won 1 of their last 5, West brom only won 1 of their last 5, Bournemouth only won 2 of their last 5) Other teams are coming up behind us, but let's see what happens. I...

Might be able to rest a few against Barnsley as well, the way things are going

    Points for Play offs

I know it would be good to progress in the cup but it makes sense to rest as many players as possible against Southampton.

    February is season defining

If you include Middlesboro, we need 14 to 15 points from that run. Would take us to 54 / 55 points with 13 to play. would still need to win a minimum of 5 of the remaining games, with some draws.

    Championship 21/22

Interestingly on the Wasted Chances thread, Blackburn are nowhere near the top of any of the tables, and in the Big Chances Created table they are 10th with 34. But they have scored 45 goals, which, I believe is a direct reflection on one player. Brereton. Fulham, Bournemouth, and West Brom...

    8 points better off

Our midfield does need to get more goals, but the midfield and the defence combined (including the wing backs) have 11, which is one third of our goals. Considering we have (had) 4 strikers all weighing in with goals that sounds about the right ratio to me.

    “Significant bids turned down”

Not sure he ever intended to sign a new contract until the end of the season. This is what he said according to CET “I am really happy and I look forward to sign a new deal but I am not looking too far yet. I will end the season first and see what’s going on...
