    29th April 1967 City v Wolves

Not sure. I know he wouldn't let me go to that famous game against Man U when we beat them 2-0 and they had Best, Charlton, Law etc. in their team and he said the crowd would be too big. He took us to the Coventry Theatre instead to watch a pantomime. I recall someone on stage telling the...

    29th April 1967 City v Wolves

I'm convinced my dad is wrong. Just looked at 1966/7 season and I don't remember a single one of those matches. Just checked 1967/8, the following season though and I remember quite a few of those. Think I was going to reserve games in about 1964/5, but I don't remember any City first team...

No, you misunderstand. What I remember was after we were promoted. When we were in the 1st Division and struggling week in week out. That would be 1967/8 season.

So you telling me there is no way I would forget that game if I was there? Just can't see how I could possibly have been there. Why would I remember all the shitty defeats around that time but not the biggest game in our history besides the FA Cup?

    29th April 1967 City v Wolves

Houch's old photos got me thinking. Now amongst all those pics is one of the open top bus ride around the city centre after we won the league in 1967. On 29th April was obviously that really famous game between City and Wolves at the top of the table, when 51,000+ were at HR. City won 3-1 and...

Well as his mate's apparently a journalist with his finger on the pulse, I can only assume he's too busy at the Israeli/Palenstine peace talks to update us all on the Ricoh situation.

I'm not. Until they are actually selling tickets for a City home game at the Ricoh I won't believe it.

Tim Fisher is a bit tedious and pointless, but we're always talking about him.

Did begin to wonder why the Coventry Theatre closed down. The answer I think is in this picture. Rod Hull and Emu, Cannon and Ball and Barbara Dickson.:(

True. It's always either a thread about a player from 3 years ago or a new stadium in 3 years time.

Saw some great bands there, Torch. It was a great venue for live concerts.
