Why I think Sisu are a bunch of idiots!

Sorry for creating a new thread, but I do think this is something I haven't seen covered and that is a topic that caters for the likes of myself who have never been particularly anti-Sisu at any point. Thing is, anyone who takes my club away from me finds themselves a new enemy. Doesn't matter...

    Backing

Exactly. It will not be our stadium. Just another rented stadium, this time with our beloved Sisu at the helm.
  3. Otis

    Backing

Right. Just like the FL ruled that we needed to play in the West Midlands and within a 30 mile radius. If you think the club will return just because the FL have said it has to return then you're being very naive I feel. Rules are there to be bent and it seems like the FL have been bending...

Leaving the Ricoh is the correct decision if.....

That was then, this is now.

    Attendances

So, free buses that will cost the club, £10 a ticket and much lower gates. :thinking about::thinking about:
  6. Otis

    Attendances

Why? The club itself have only budgeted for about 2,000 - 3,000 according to CWR.

I can see someone doing something silly

I prefer the Bugsy Malone method. We should go down all guns blazing with custard pie machine guns.

    Backing

I just don't see how any of this rubbish going on secures our long term future. As an independent financial analyst said today the whole things is ludicrous. 1. There is a stadium already here in Coventry and it is available. 2. There is no reason to be playing 33 miles away for the next 3-5...

    Will you go to Sixfields

One thing that does concern me. I turn in to CWR first game of the season and hear the City fans chanting ' Loyal supporters, loyal supporters.' Hope this isn't the case but I do think it might happen. This whole saga and stance has absolutely nothing to do with fans who travel to Northampton...

    Attendances

No,not at all. Everyone I have spoken to has said they won't go. Sunny Sunday, lure of a new campaign and new players and the love of the City though I think will draw a few more in, including a few of those who have initially said they won't go. A bit of curiosity and suck it and see...

    A concern or not?

If we were a couple of divisions clear of them maybe, but not with the two clubs so close and the Northampton ground looking like it might be a lot better than whatever we are moving to anyway.

    Attendances

First game will be close to 5,000 I think. There will be a full house of away fans (1,250) and about 3,000 City fans. Do think it will wane very quickly though as Autumn an Winter set in and especially if we start doing badly. Will also have an effect if we start on -15 points. That could mean...

pathetic fans: this is the end of ccfc for me crap: why bother supporting !!

Honest answer here ... do you accept 5 years as just being temporary? What about 6 years? 7 years? When does it not become 'temporary' and start becoming long term? Temporary should be ONE season, not FIVE or more.

    Chairman - Potentialy 5 years!

What a surprise. Financial expert on CWR this morning saying what we all already suspected. No way can CCFC plan, design and build a new stadium in 3 years.
  15. Otis

    Will you go to Sixfields

We all know that it is going to be more than 3 years if this hair brained new stadium plan comes to fruition. And we all know that the FL will grant extension after extension. Could be 7 years easily. Only two things can save us; 1. Sisu and ACL come to an agreement and we come back to the...

pathetic fans: this is the end of ccfc for me crap: why bother supporting !!

Very fair point. It's the £1 million only that worries me slightly. £1 million in the grand scheme of things is just a drop in the ocean. Not even 1 years rent at the Ricoh.

The next move in this chess match

People keep saying Sisu are clever and know what they're doing and have the upper hand etc. But don't think for a minute that the council and ACL are stupid. They must have their own cards up their sleeves. I don't think this is over by a long chalk.

CCFC: The Return to Coventry - August 2016 or beyond

Hope you're right, cos if we're all waiting for a new ground it's going to be a lot longer than 3 years I can assure you.

    Crowds Next Season

First game almost 6,000 (including 1,250 away fans). Will quickly tail off though and I think will average out at around 2,000 - 3,000. Can see some JPT and cold midweek games against such as Carlisle dropping closer to a thousand though.

no more pennies for ACL either!!

If you get ACL out now wouldn't it just be the council who would step in though?
