I think cause of death is a bit of a red herring. It’s clear from the excess deaths that tens of thousands have died prematurely. Unless you’ve got some hidden events that exactly match the spread of coronavirus killing people then the virus is to blame however indirectly.

Their choice was use the tech for those that can or don’t use tech at all. There’s no method to do this type of app on older devices. Looking at the stats you’re talking maybe 5% of users on iPhone 6 or before, not sure about Android as stats are harder to come across.

You want the government to nip round everyone’s house and upgrade the hardware in their phone to be capable? Or just not release an app at all?

Don’t see the issue TBF. Of course only phones with modern tech can support the latest features.
