Kelly / Sheaf and Eccles / Allen

I believe the away goals rule was scrapped in 2021

    3 top 6 finishes in 6 years

70 points would have only got into the playoffs twice in the last 10 years. 2012/13 and 2019/20 (by goal difference). In 2016/17 Fulham got 6th with 80 points.

HAMER: BEST MIDFIELDER IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

When you think those 2 were involved in 50 of our 58 goals ..........

2023 Championship Play - Offs - Well Done CCFC

Sheaf and Allen will make a massive difference to our chances if they are both fully fit

    Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Millwall

Form is obviously important, but so is pressure. Millwall are at home and are expected to win in front of their fans. They may 'bottle it'. Blackburn have nothing to lose really, they are all but written off, when in fact if they win they have a very similar chance of reaching the playoffs as we...

HAMER: BEST MIDFIELDER IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

You would think he could have ironed it. ;)

    Championship 22-23

Been saying it for a while now, results in the last couple of games in a season bear no relationship to form or expectation.

    Championship 22-23

Yes, and I suspect the main thing on most of their supporter's minds is to get through Monday's game with out any injuries etc.

    Championship 22-23

2 losses and a draw wouldn't be too bad

    Championship 22-23

I would be more worried if it were Boro's last home game but they will play again in front of their home supporters in the playoffs

    Championship 22-23

Except I never like it when our next opponents have just lost a game to a team they should have hammered. They generally get a roasting off their manager and their supporters. Both games a draw for me.

Can we get a point at Boro?

This was one view: Will be very interesting to see our approach for the Cov game. Do we rest players and keep our cards close to our chest knowing the likelihood is we’re heading into a two-leg tie against them? And while momentum is important, do you play a full strength team in what...

Can we get a point at Boro?

So I get that every team want's to finish as high up the league as possible, but is it a massive benefit for Boro to finish 3rd instead of 4th, with the only exception being who they play in the first games?

Can we get a point at Boro?

Blackburn are still in with a chance at this point, depending on tomorrow's result. They could finish on 69 and draw with, or beat Millwall in the process, with a minus GD. Both teams look poor at the moment so that could go either way.

Can we get a point at Boro?

Last game of the season, anything can happen

    Championship 22-23

Yes I hadn't thought of that.

    Championship 22-23

Ideally Blackburn draw against Luton. That will give them 66 points and a win against Millwall will give them a fighting chance of 6th, although they can't realistically catch us. Millwall would then finish on 68.

    Us or Them

Looking on Middlesbro's forum, they really don't want Sunderland in the playoffs. Has no bearing on the result of the game but they hate them.

    Championship 22-23

Hopefully Preston can beat Sheff U today, will keep them in it just about, on 66. And they play Sunderland next week.
