    Yep, love that kit.

But also, there have been over 40 years where we haven't had plain kits either (squares or halves or different sleeves), so over 80 years of our history where we have had stripes, or squares or different sleeves etc. I know JH brought in the Sky blue, but looking at us yesterday, we still...

    Next season's kit

Well yep, that was my point. At lots of different points in our history we have had stripes in our kit (first dating back to 1887), so we can never say it is alien to us or not a true representation of Coventry City kit design. As much as it pains me, I think we need to try and now not look...

    Next season's kit

Just checked and a total of 40 years of our history has been playing in kits with stripes.

    Next season's kit

We have had some very good kits over the years. I now personally don't want us looking like Man City. Shame, but they are the team who has risen to prominence and taken the Crown and become more high profile by a long chalk. As I said before, the 70's with the Sky blue shirts and black shorts...

Worst deal was the Wilson one, where we got Allsop, Coulibaly and McQuoid!

    Next season's kit

But doesn't all sky blue just remind you of Manchester City? We go back to all sky blue, I think we are going to come across as a cheap imitimation of them unfortunately. Their rise to prominence seemingly makes them the only Sky Blues to the baying media and press. The Sky blue and white at...

    A good reception

I don't have much feeling at all about him, but when we were at Sixifelds it felt as if the club was dead to me, so that period sort of just whooshes over my head. Didn't follow the threads, didn't listen to the radio and at times didn't even know we had a game on. It really felt like we...

    Player ratings - Bury

I see according to the BBC stats we only had 7 shots on target! Not bad that, scoring 6 from them.

    Glad

Yep. When we played them a lot on here seemed to think we would beat them easily and that a draw was a terrible result and yep, it may well have been, but they have shown they are a great away side. Just 2 away defeats all season is a brilliant record! They are down in the bottom 3 because of...

    Fixtures

They just lost yesterday after a great run, so who knows, it could be their bubble has burst. Few games to come before we play them, so let's see where we both are.

    Glad

But as I said at the time, Oldham have a brilliant away record! They have had just 2 away defeats all season! Second best in the division.

Let's just see where we are at the end of the season, eh! My expectation has indeed gone up. Pre-season I predicted 7th, but now we have been in the top 6 all season long, I do indeed expect us to finish top 6 and feel anything less will be a failure. Failure simply based on being top 6 all...

I love the stripes!! Memories of 87 and all that.

    Joe Cole

Yep, but now we understand him and the way he plays. When he first came in we looked disjointed and our pace dropped considerably, because he was putting his foot on the ball and slowing things down.

    Joe Cole

Which was the game where he was pointing and directing and Armstrong didn't know if he was coming or going? He seemed to be on a different wavelength and therefore our attacking threat was ragged and lacked pace going forwards. One of the first games Cole played in I think.

Yep. It has hurt us badly. Thing is, think we all pretty much knew Reda Johnson wasn't going to last, so perhaps we shouldn't have renewed his contract after all. Maybe if we had, had the likes of a Cargill or Stephens in from the onset we wouldn't have suffered the problems we had.
