Tbf maybe the club is just trying to get to the Brighton levels of squad planning which Frank alluded to in one of his interviews. Rather than having to go out and find a replacement after selling a player we already have the next player on the production line ready to go.

He's a player you have to build your team around to get the best out of and that's what Lampard has done to incredible effect. The most important thing is that he's so robust as well, if he misses a game it's probably a big injury.
