The thing is you can only spend a percentage of the selling price, so unless you get ridiculous money and can spot/buy a bargain, you will be worse off player wise, in terms of quality. Da Costa just seems the polar opposite of what Matty James was in the composure stakes. It's as though Da Costa has rarely thought about his next move before the ball has got to him, and just plays in the moment.

Interested to see if MR is calm or angry after this. Hopefully a mix. Some players are getting fit, some are inexperienced, but some should be doing better. I think he will reflect that in his appraisal. Not too fussed, but some players are confirming what we thought. You can carry one...
