A third of the season gone (all but)Are you happy with the season so far

Doing OK. Could be better, could be worse. Less confident than I was before the break, won’t be happy if we fail to make up ground in Dec after the run of games we started with.

If we can’t go out and compete against a team we finished ahead of last season we may as well give up now.

Coventry City Supporters Forum - Zoom meeting 3/12 5pm

Shame we didn’t ask about long term viability in this division instead of making it about COVID. Would’ve been more illuminating. Obviously this season we will get support from the owners, the more pressing concern is whether as a club we can compete at this level at all and whether a new ground...

Its so dumb. If they all agreed to move to Stoke then Stoke Park would be an Outstanding school being massively sought after. With you on the deaths figures, especially absolute numbers and not per capita. Not sure I agree on the GDP figures though, your figures seem to be projections, but...

I actually really liked Hamer in that position, we seemed to win the ball higher up the pitch. If we’re going to play 4231 that’s how I’d accommodate him.

TBF if there’s any owner I’d trust to get us on the right side of a debt agreement it’s Sisu. Probably end up owning the PL.

I don’t think it’s a new thing TBH. Nothing makes you left wing quicker than seeing the full spectrum of humanity and how the state fails them. My Mum was telling me these sorts of stories when she was a college lecturer and adult students were dropping out so they didn’t lose their dole, or...

Sounds like you’re doing gods work mate. Amazing how when we feel like we need help the answer is often focusing on the needs of others. Being a teacher in a shitty area opened my eyes to what a lot of people are going through and a mate who has his problems has to rely on the kindness of...

Yeah, this is one of the missus’ triggers whenever someone says about “curing cancer”. Weve been making steady progress with survival rates though. Think it’ll be more of this than some miracle “cure” even if you ignore the pedantry.

Because it’s school got a rep as good and now it’s a self fulfilling prophecy of nice middle class people moving to be close to it. I found it awfully sterile TBH. Earlsdon works I assume because it’s an ex village, but surely it must be possible to develop places to have the same component parts?

Swine flu was very different. For a start all the people who took it had to sign a waiver showing they understood it was experimental and hadn’t been approved by the regulator I believe. Yeah it helps that I’m back in Earlsdon and that’s a perfect example. But why can’t that be fostered...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

If we’re resetting society, let’s keep WFH, keep masks during winter, keep people walking around their local community, keep parents being able to drop and collect their kids. Make it all about localism. Don’t try and save city centres and big stores, help local areas have good quality...
