Hopes.
1. More of our own players, less loans.
2. That academy kids are good enough to step up and make an impact. Wouldn't it be brilliant if Ponticelli got a chance and instantly became the 20 goal a season striker we have all yearned for!
3. That we are more competitive in games and fight...
And not dither either. Waited far too long trying to assemble a squad last time.
Let's line them up, get them in, bang, bang, bang!!
Then, once we have shot all them, let's get some real players in.
The very sad reality is that even if we won the next 4 games in a row we know we would still be relegated and quite a bit adrift of 5th from bottom.
I now just wonder what sort of crowd we will have on Tuesday. To add insult to injury, the temperature prediction is that of it dropping down to...
I have come to the conclusion, Dan, that you are very much an advocate of the 'any hole is a goal' principle.
Would that be a reasonable assumption to come to?
You would have thought not.
We still have Turnbull with us next year don't we. Can't see many rushing in to offer a fee for him. Can you?
Reid will probably be hard to get rid of too.
Can't say I want either of them here.
Yeah, just read the CT report. Not sure how accurate it is, but interestingly it says Beavon was rested, but Kwame Thomas was left out of the squad.
Any significance in that I wonder.
I know agree, but you kind of get the feeling that some will as much as get off scott free and go to better clubs, when in reality they don't deserve anything past a place on a League Two team squad anyway.
That's one of the worst aspects. A fair few of these players who have consistently underperformed will just dust themselves down, wave goodbye and toddle off to new clubs.
Yeah, but Robins can't throw the towel in until it is an impossibility, or all but.
I would say we are there now already, but no doubt some would moan if we just played kids now.
